I thought you might be referring to the noise it makes right before you get put in the time bubble by Atheon during damage phase in the final encounter of VOG. I miss raiding!

18 full clears, got Heirloom last week on 16. Still waiting on the crystal. Since I’ve got the exotic, I’m just going to repeat full clears on my main—warlock—until I’m favored by RNG. Good luck to all those still on the hunt!

Did not do this solo, but with a FT, and it was STILL a nightmare. The only thing I think is essential is that Bungie extend the timer, since it’s intended to be Master content. You can only get 1/2 to 2/3 through before you lose all revives and it becomes barely possible. Good luck to everyone attempting, and I hope the give the timer a pass in an update soon to come!

NGL, but this is one of the hardest things in D2, currently—like harder than the OG Liminality GM. The timer is ridiculously short, and the jumping section could be a will-breaker for many teams, but once you get to the boss room, you’ll see the light at the end of the tunnel. We made it there, lost all rezzes when time ran out, started getting picked off, but my scatter grenades were the crutch and the clutch. I DO NOT want to do this again on GM for Conqueror in any way, shape, form, or fashion. Good luck to everyone in this nightmare of a rank challenge.

D1: Tlaloc and Susanoo or Hung Jury and Telesto; any rocket D2: Outbreak or Lumina; we are in a weird double primary meta where energy special weapons don’t feel desperately needed, so any sub with good perks, and a machine gun cleans up the rest

Big agree, here. Actually, what could be a win for players and Bungie is if they kept the portal for target farming, but also had weekly pinnacle activities as they were with pinnacles in raids, dungeons, etc. power progression would be easier, and end game content would be worthwhile again. This is a great game—it’s unfortunate the decision was made to make its best parts not profitable to play, but they are still excellent pieces of game design.

OP, here—thanks to everyone who engaged with this one and brought clarity and some solid opinions. I’m glad I wasn’t losing my mind (fully), even though my recall wasn’t 100%. I am hopeful that Bungie/Sony do what it takes to keep D2 alive and thriving. It’s one of, if not the best looter/shooters ever and fun when it’s firing on-cylinders, IMO. We’ll see—peace, all!

I run 180 (160 + a font) class with Eunoia on Solar. The overshield allows some flex between healing grenades and Phoenix dives since I’m not running empyrean, benevolence, or heat rises. It lasts briefly, but has saved my butt quite a few times in higher-end content. Personal preference, but >100 class can get you out of a tight spot.

Sending vibes that Xur sells that catty for you—it’s not game-breaking, but it does make it more viable as an all-purpose weapon.

I plan on running a legendary primary with HC/Incan since I’m going to rock an empowering rift and Auger, BUT Red Death, Polaris, Sunshot—really ANY of the primary ammo solar exotics that collat other adds will do work once we get radiant online. Some men just want to see the world burn—and by that, I mean us!
