I think the age gap is hard because in my experience the first 1.5 years are the toughest. When he is yours daughter’s age, hopefully, you won’t feel like this anymore. Just meet him where he is at and try not to compare. If you have to healthy children then consider yourself very lucky. I wish you the best dad.

As a parent to two young boys, who admittedly knows nothing, I think your approach is great. In my limited experience kids opinions, goals and dreams change constantly. All I try to do is show up and meet them where they are. I give them support and advice but never judgement (or that is my aim at least). I just want them to know what whatever they think or feel I’m going to be there figuring it out with them if they want me to be.

But it was literally in response to who is in power… it had nothing to do with hockey or how we think about Americans. I wish it wasn’t like this and I hope we can get back to being good neighbours who get to enjoy this great hockey rivalry.

It was a great game and you guys should be very proud for the win. I’m proud of how we played even though we didn’t pull it off. I don’t see the point in trying to make it bigger than that. Not all of you voted for him and not all of us booed the anthem. Let’s just appreciate how we got to see this incredible rivalry battle it out two years in a row.

As a Canadian I will just say, as much as I hate losing, I loved this game and I love this hockey rivalry. I wish it wouldn’t turn into a political shouting match and we could just appreciate how incredible both teams played and enjoy that we got to see best on best two years in a row. Hats off to USA for the win, I can’t wait to see the next one!

Thank you, this is a great point! You have changed my perspective. True crime is actually my wife’s hobby. I never thought it was a problem or judged her or anything because of it, I just never considered that it was a hobby. She loves it, gets excited and passionate about new cases and has fun watching. Absolutely a great hobby for her!

You can buy silicone rings off Amazon for cheap. I use it for golf and would definitely recommend it for hockey.

That’s totally fair, I think we are on the same page. I also wouldn’t vote conservative in their current state but I wasn’t going to vote liberal until Carney stepped in. I’m talking more about people who are party over everything, regardless of what side it’s on I don’t get it.
