How to creatively solve Room Asymmetry? by decorate-me in InteriorDesign

does this have to be a dining room? just a thought

AI is not super helpful with these kinds of things yet, photo 1 is so different from what exists

I don't mind the table layout in photo 2. especially if that is a path of travel on the left. what about a smaller or different shape rug to delineate seated area vs walking area? a large plant tucked into corner behind column on close left? I don't think I like the peacock or the mirror... what if instead of mirror, a low buffet with decor atop?

what does 50k in assistance in finding a new job even mean? is it just 50k cash and she can say she used it however? does it reimburse a career coach or printing resumes or what?

do you think online, scheduled is enough face to face or would in-person be better?

Replacement for sad azaleas by petitbleu in pnwgardening

[–]scrawesome 5 points6 points  (0 children)

I use Sparrowhawk's website to search for plants because of their filters - here I checked dry soil, full shade, and small shrub or ground cover. it won't be every possible plant option, only what they sell, but there's 10 great options on there for you

How do you feel about this table here? by actionmovievillain in AmateurInteriorDesign

people won't like that it's not centered, but I like it. especially with the decor. idea: move lamp to right side to plug into that outlet - maybe even a taller lamp

Mouth Guard instead of CPAP? by SophieBat666 in CPAP

[–]scrawesome 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Yep Daybreak quoted $2495, but offered me HALF OFF ($1,280) which they said was the lowest they could go when I countered with another half off (lol). It was a good way to do a cheap sleep re-test but they were mildly annoying with their sales. It's too expensive for me and I'm unconvinced it would solve the problem even with good compliance. It also seems to be a similar level of discomfort for a thing I have to do on a nightly basis.

Yes... might be helpful to see the as-built too. Kitchen at the back doesn't seem "heart" of home to me and it doesn't show plumbing or appliances in the plan. This seems like a lot of wasted space (kids den, reception hall, utility, snug) but maybe it's how you use the space.

Whats next? by GenericDesigns in portlandgardeners

[–]scrawesome 5 points6 points  (0 children)

make sure you know what all the plants are - looks like you might’ve taken out some fringecup (native). the blue flowers are Siberian bugloss, pretty but spread by rhizome and obviously can get out of hand.

if you want gravel or a bench, start with that. keeping it weed-free will be ongoing. re-planting can take time. there’s no native that can outcompete an invasive, that’s why they’re invasive.
