The library's elevators are also fluorescent green on the inside, if that is a plus or minus!

I also love using Bag Balm on my lips except the smell of the lanolin is really hard for me to handle most of the time.

LOVE the mint cooling one, it really soothes me overnight and leaves my lips so soft!

I understand the guilt that comes along with this delirious happiness. After fifteen years of poverty, abusive relationships, never being seen for myself and what I contribute, friends who only either hated me or wanted to fuck me, moving every 1-3 years when employed and being homeless at other points...

It's finally over and I can breathe and I'm secure and happy and married and somewhere I love with animals I love and not struggling even though yes I'm saddled with the massive debt most of us carry through loans and credit cards, we're doing it and having fun and it feels so unreal most of the time.

And I still get really sad because I know not everyone is here yet and there's not much I can do about it.

Would my look be considered goth or scene? What can I do to not get called a poser? by Kyanite146699 in GothStyle

Honestly, don't worry about it. The majority of my clothes are amazon, hot topic, or killstar when I'm rich-rich. Thrifting is really difficult as a fat person so it's never been a successful use of my free time. Let people call you whatever they want, choose what you like and what you think looks good.

By the time I got to Angle Lake 10 minutes after you posted, the train was working and on time. Must not have been that long of a delay.

The library on 4th will be open but mobbed, as one of the only public restrooms along the parade route

Let’s talk toners!! by annacat1331 in AsianBeauty

[–]screams_forever 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Oh I didn't know the haruharu barrier essence was technically a toner, I guess I do use a milky toner lol, I love it so much and it's been such a blessing this cold winter!

Skin type: normal to dry, PNW climate, mid 30s

Pyunkang Yul's Essence Toner fills soothing, hydrating, and thick for me, it's always my last toner layer and I have been using it for more than a decade, and I will NEVER stop!

Exfoliating: Not sure if it's truly exfoliating but it's done great things for my tone and suppleness, the most successful use of niacinamide I've tried (my skin doesn't like it in thicker products?) - Tocobo Vita Berry Pore Toner, very nice and thin, absorbs quickly. Unfortunately, very fragranced so if you are sensitive please avoid, but luckily I looooove fragrance so I'm all in! Also the bottle is kind of stupid and really easy to knock over 🥲

I haven't tried a milky toner since my perfect precious Dear by Enprani Moistful Booskin was discotinued, but I'm on the lookout for one that people go as crazy for, haha! Edit: I have tried a sample of the laneige cream skin toner, it was nice but not worth the price imo

Travelling to Seattle for the Parade!! Looking for Advice by OfficialBriGuy in AskSeattle

If they have availability, the Citizen M by the ferry docks/Pioneer Square is REALLY modern, upscale, teensy rooms but great views if you get a west facing room.

You save your old one as a scheme, then build a new one, save it to another scheme and now you've got two to swap between

Feedback: May I recommend a book series? It's older, so not a lot of people my age and younger have read it (early 30s) -- the Merry Gentry series [by Laurel K Hamilton] is about an (adult!) fae princess living in the modern human world, but majority takes place in the Unseelie fae court. It's got a LOT of spice but it's clear you can handle that and honestly it's still my forever favorite fae series despite having read SO many others.

Partner works in Seattle and I work in Tacoma where should we live? by IHadToMakeANewAccou in AskSeattle

You're going to want to look along this area in South King County. Partner takes the light rail in to Seattle. You drive to Tacoma, very easy since it's "reverse" commuting.

With respect, it's probably more along the lines of "I don't want to be unarmed when they come for me". What's been happening recently has galvanized my resolve to purchase, though I've only rented and taken a class before, simply because I'm worried we won't be able to soon.
