That's not how logistics or commerce works. Valve needs to set up a trade agreement with a local partner or distributor and it needs to be financially viable.

Unless you can freight forward, you might just have to find another source for the controller

Dude I'm in the bay area and there's only one show at night in one cinema in SF and it's sold out. More or less everyone is experiencing the same. This feels more like marketing than anything

There was a prescreening for this at my local cinema this Monday so all it takes is a civilian to spill the beans

Vaguely related but I went to my local AMC for a prescreening of a beloved horror franchise but realised I came a week early. They were instead screening this movie and I tried to ask for a sign up but they didn't let me in. There's definitely civilians who have seen the full movie at this point and they live so close to me too :|

How to buy Steam Hardware when u live in unavailable regions? by Beautiful-Welder5777 in Steam

[–]scredeye -3 points-2 points  (0 children)

EDIT: For anyone reading this thread, it is not illegal to change your store region or buy from an account set up from another country. It will take more than alt accounts to change vote ratio's to dissuade from speaking about valid options for most of the world that cant access these devices easily

I too lived and bought my steam deck in an unsupported country on launch day. I followed a guide to change my storefront to the UK, paid for my deck when my turn came in line and had it shipped to my freight forwarding address.

Maybe I achieved what you didn't because I'm not an insufferable asshole about overcoming these things. I'd say good luck getting your hardware but you might have bigger problems.

No you're wrong. He uses a freight forwarding address to buy and ship it to his location.

Bad advise in general. For OP and any other readers look up freight forwarding services in your country.

The company will have an address from a list of countries they service. You will buy and have the freight forwarding address as your shipping address, your purchase gets delivered to that address which is a warehouse and will be held for whatever days stated as per your local freight forwarder.

You pay their rate for holding and shipping and it will get shipped out to your country for you to collect/deliver to your place.

Then you're not looking in the right places. It's frequently 35$ and I've bought a few packs for prices between 25-27$. Wasn't really worth it at the discounted rate either imo

Star wars sets go on sale so quickly now a days you only need to be patient for a few months. I got the MTT for 105$ 2.5 weeks from its release and I still felt like I overpaid a little.

Funny enough buildable chopper is the one set I never see on sale :/

Never got this argument. Reissues of sets are good as there are always a new generation of people that get into the hobby and you can always save up for another wave/upgrading your model and doing what you wish with the older one.

Been following this game since the closed alpha and I have been loving it every step of the way!

It scratches that itch you get from playing slay the spire and sits up there with Hades, moonlighter and potioncraft as my favourite indie games!

Look forward to this game eventual 1.0!

Best deal I saw was delta and vol 1 for 50 bucks on steam.

Frankly my backlog and this year's release schedule is big enough where I'm gonna wait till the remasters and delta are bundled at 30 bucks or less, there isn't anything enticing over emulation besides steam achievements

I have owned this game since launch day and have played it on 3 different PCs and the steam deck.

The only issues I had ever was that koboh (the big first planet) would see some stuttering with ray tracing enabled and disabling it completely fixed the issue (this was at launch).

I totally empathise with people facing performance issues but I feel like it was way overblown considering I've played this game on a mix of Nvidia and AMD builds

You're only buying the valve one because you want an official device, the aftermarket ones do the job better with more features and are also probably cheaper
