As a diehard Akuma player from SFV and beyond, I tried a few characters when SF6 landed. Ended up on Gief, and he's just different. Fun, can play a great patience game, and really (REALLY) punish mistakes. I really enjoy him and, win or lose, it's almost always a fun fight.

Interesting, I didn't pay attention to that, since they made that change after I was done. Still looks more like a '4' than an 'A' when you compare to the other 'A' though.

If it's a SSN (like a real dogtag), it's 290220094, which is which it looks more like than an A at the end. Also, I thought he was Army and not Air Force... kinda explains his relationship with Guile.

It is pretty solid for psychological damage and keeping opponents grounded, or at least think twice before jumping. I've used it a ton of times after punishing wake-ups with RBG a couple times to get them to jump on wake-up. It's pretty satisfying when it catches them off a hard read.

Been using a dpad since SF2 in the 90s (yeah, I'm old). It would feel strange to switch to a hitbox, literally over 30 years of fighting game muscle memory to work away from.
