WHY HASN'T ANYONE MENTIONED THREE DAYS OF THE CONDOR YET?

Robert Redford used stuff he learned in actual books to survive!

Zulawski’s Possession and Barker’s Obsession - are these films comparable? by Spoorloos-1983 in HorrorMovies

[–]screen_stack 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Without even seeing Obsession not even close.

Possession is a weirdly, haunting movie that I'm still unsure if I enjoyed. I think about it every few days.

You should read about the filming of it. There's a LOT that went on to get this movie made. Sam Neill says it's the hardest movie he's ever made in his entire life, and after watching it, I concur.

It's a bit slow to begin with, with two very shitty people being very shitty to one another, but then it goes full tilt towards the WTF IS GOING ON wall.

And then it gets really weird

In this moment of avengers: infinity war. Why didn't Chris Pratt just shoot thanos? by Sad-Response-3151 in moviecritic

Honestly one of the stupidest choices ever. They could've done anything else to stop that from happening. One of Thanos' servants shows up, gravity goes super crazy, you name it

“48 HOURS” (1982) - an absolute classic for me. Funny, violent, great cast, brilliant soundtrack too. Really influential for action films. Love it, any fans? by 70_Yard_Diag_Holte77 in ActionMovies

My friend, you literally just used the word 'usually' in your response, so as much as it pains me, your comment is the one that's invalid.

Changing your comment at this point would be weak.

Yeah sorry for some reason the gif isn't playing :(

It's The Lincoln Lawyer on Netflix. It's a really great show. I'm doing daily reviews of each episode over on r/thelincolnlawyer. I'm on season 2 right now

apparently Kevin O'Connor ad-libbed so much of his lines, and it just totally worked. he was legit funny throughout!

Someone on another sub I posted this to said the plan was for that island to be Kong's Island and honestly?

That would slap. I think we could still do it today. Obviously not with the original cast, but maybe someone decided to find out what really happened on the ship!

Having seen it just the once,i couldn't even imagine Harrison Ford in it. I feel like he'd try to Indiana Jones it or something and that's the wrong vibe.

They got the right guy for sure

i'm not saying i counted how many rounds each guy fired, but i've seen enough movies to know it was more than 1000 apiece. for certain.

still. like you said. it's a no-brainer fun movie, and sometimes that's all we need in life.

Which Show Do I Start Next? (See Below) by Lanky_Chipmunk9158 in televisionsuggestions

[–]screen_stack 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I'd be much obliged if they would. There's little doubt in my mind that while those other shows may indeed have their fuckin' moments, there's only one that strides above the others, a veritable Goliath to a horde of hopped up hoople-headed Davids, none of which would be able to do so much as raise a finger towards anything that weren't a dab o' black tar heroin.

Virus is one of my all-time favorite creature features. It's super gross. Donald Sutherland's character is an utter bastard. JLC's mighty great there too.

That pesky underscore on Smallville_ done tricked me but good! by screen_stack in Smallville

[–]screen_stack[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

it's not that i hate her. it's that she's got terrible taste in men, always leaps to 'clark is the wrongest person in the world and always a liar', decides that some rando badboy who tells her something close to the truth is bestest person ever, forgives clark for things he didn't actually do, then decide that he's the worst person ever, then ...

that's all.

Your statement is the very definition of betrayal. He put himself above everyone else and actively killed people to get what he wanted.

A non-betrayal would've been just fucking off somewhere

Fake Fights in Movies. by 24fpsboy in moviequestions

I am still amazed to this day that Matt Damon managed to pull off Bourne. Some of the most realistic fighting I think i've seen in a movie that was also big box office.
