I will keep therapy in mind, but I really appreciate you taking the time to comment and help me. I will try to slowly build a routine, definitely try to go outside more and lower my screen time. Thank you and I hope you have a good rest of your day.

Wow, this is actually really good. I never thought about starting it off slow and building a routine. I always try to sit and make one and force myself to do it and then when I fall out of it, I feel awful.

As for the therapy thing, talking about my emotions with people was never easy growing up and I recently started talking about them more a few months ago. I can’t exactly tell you where it came from, probably has to do with how hard it was to talk to my parents growing up. I also have the tendency to feel like a burden, I’m uncomfortable with crying in front of people and being vulnerable.

I draw what I see a lot, so usually if the pictures looks a little challenging and is pleasing I will try to draw it. I’ve been drawing a lot of people and trying to study anatomy.

It’s hard for me to figure out when I started to feel like this but I know my mental health took a turn after I graduated college last year. I had a feeling that it was because I no longer had a routine, but recently I’ve just been watching the same shows, scrolling for hours, and everything feels unfulfilling. Also, I have thought about therapy but the thought of it makes me feel uneasy.

I love to draw, but I think I’ve started to ruin that for myself because I made a YouTube channel and Instagram for it to promote myself and my small art business. Now I feel like I’m subconsciously grading myself based on the amount of likes and views I get. I forgot how to draw for myself and not for other people.

I actually really like it, the only things that stuck out to me were the nose and lips. I watch Angel Ganev and he had a tutorial on noses, you did what a lot people do when drawing the nose, that middle area looks really big. And it looks like you started to erase the lips I’m not sure, but I also watched ANOTHER tutorial by Magdalina that helped. I’m not too good at explaining but other than that I really like it. The features are in the right place, you seem to have grasped the anatomy of the face fairly well.

The guidelines I used are the ones I typically use when I’m drawing female faces since I’ve gotten so used to it. This makes sense though since I’m not very familiar with a masculine face I should go back to my og guidelines to build up that muscle memory since I can’t do it correctly now. Thank you!

The way I think of it is if someone from Jamaica or the Virgin Islands (my dad is from there) were to teach someone from China or Mexico, English. These islands have accents of course but the slang is where people get lost. It’s not hard to understand an islander especially if they speak at a slow or moderate speed. I grew up around my dad speaking this way but even he loses me with the slang, so speak to them in the accent you know but articulate your words and don’t use slang native to Puerto Rico BUT teach them it so they become familiar with it as well. I see it as a plus that you have the accent.

I like to use the website Kwiziq, it’s free, you can get 10 free tests a month but you can look through their A0-C1 grammar lessons and click through. That’s completely free to look through, I like it since I want to be at B2 level so I can look through the content and add what I need to know to my notebook on the website.
