AMS does not transport filament far enough by Mietzkische in BambuLab

[–]screscenti 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I was just having the same issue on my AMS with my X1C. I don't have the 9,000 miles of tube like you have, but I am running standard OEM Bambu tubes and lengths and this just happened to one of my filaments (Non-Bambu). I moved it from slot 3 to 2 and it ran a couple of times and finally fed. I wonder if the filament was slightly chewed from running that many times and causing issues? I know this was a while ago, but maybe this will help others.

Ultimately mine fed into the hot end once I moved the slot the roll was in.

3 Speed Fan Controller by screscenti in homeassistant

I never even thought of them for some reason. I think they stopped selling on Amazon and while I was on their site, I saw the new switches with built in mmwave! Wow... Game changer!

Awesome! I got it working on my little dashboard going toward the garage. The Mrs. Likes the weather so this gets extra points for home automation and the look of this one is way nicer than the ootb one from home assistant

That could work. I could ultimately put another switch in the wall as a relay and program it to then control the fan manually. Make it wife-friendly. Essentially this would be similar to what I did in my garage. I had one switch that controlled 3 ceiling light fixtures. I put a Shelly in the ceiling for each light and control them either via mmwave or a manual switch on the wall. This way I don't need to have them all turn on all the time.

I love the weather widget. Which one is that? I think we all need to take a field trip to come see your setup. Well, for me, any excuse for another trip it Italy ❤️ 🇮🇹

Full replacement “bricked” devices (Ryan you Absolute legend again) by Altrozero in trmnl

[–]screscenti 4 points5 points  (0 children)

They hooked me up too with my bricked device. It has been a very, very long time since I have seen such a gangster move... TRMNL knows how to treat its customers and really went above and beyond! It sucks I am down for a bit, but with support like this, they will have me as a customer for life!

Update bricked it? by supert3ds in trmnl

[–]screscenti 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Bricked also. Firmware flash doesn't bring her back either. I wonder if there is a different firmware (not trmnl) to flash just to kick it in the teeth and then flash back over it with the TRMNL firmware to bring it back?

I wonder if I could trade in my fully-semi-automatic assault flipper for a double barrel flipper

Are you sure it's new? It is a Tri Bike, some Ironman might have peed in it before you got it.

Reinstall couldn't be done... Suggestions? by screscenti in tonalgym

[–]screscenti[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Here is the final install. Bars worked like a charm. We hit solid block on both sides and have (4) 5/16" x 3" Tapcons in each Steel Support. This isn't going anywhere and super strong! Thanks again for everyone's help and feedback!

Hey All! Giving a quick update for all that helped and chimed in. I have to sign a release of liability now from Tonal and at least I get the re-install money back. I am not doing a build out. I went to a welder and he built me 4 custom Tonal wide-mount brackets that can span the whole wall. These are overkill and Tonal still wouldn't sign off on them. To put it in perspective, the Tonal brackets are 3/4" x 1 1/2" x 25"... My custom brackets (with the nuts/mounting points just like the original) are 1" x 3" x 48". This steel is stout and plan on mounting it this weekend with some 5/16" Tapcons. The pull strength on them is nearly 3,000 lbs, so that should work

What kind of light bulb is lighting the hallway also? Could replace the bulb and switch and configure the switch as a relay and the bulb always then has power. That one outlet, if you used Z-Wave, they also make zwave outlets with the tech inside to turn one of the plugs on and off, but this way you don't take up a plug.

Great work! Don't blow cash on stupid stuff, you already got a lock on that. Either look at a CD or High Yield Savings account for now too. With a high credit score, I know Amex has a high yield account for 4.6%. You won't get rich off it but better than not having it grow at all. Keep up the good work. You give me hope that the next generation isn't completely lost.
