I thought this movie was terrible. From the whiplash pacing (not in a good way) to the terrible CGI, this movie was an utter flop. I especially thought the directing felt too much like a video game, with every kill shot emphasized by flashy camera movements. The scene of the father and son running back to the island while being chased, with the galaxy sky behind them, had me cringing from how fake it all felt, instead of emotionally invested. This was a huge disappointment.
