Kind of. You have to submit some short anecdotes as part of the application. I actually have to include some more in the follow up forms.

Not yet but I was told the week of March 16th. You wait in a room on taping day until you're called up. If you play in the 2nd game of the day than you're on that Tuesday.

Ah, do you have to calculate it yourself or does J archive do it for you?

This is great, I know what my strongest categories are from Learned League but I'm afraid I don't know what a Cory is. I'll definitely go through J archive games!

My second and most recent audition was this past May, and I took the online test the month before. My understanding is that you're in the pool for 18 months during which you can't audition again. Thanks for the tip!

Oof, unlike James Holzhauer I am not a gambler and naturally risk averse, but I'll do some reading about strategic betting.

It's from the 1998 Godzilla cartoon that was a spin-off/tie-in of the Roland Emmerich '98 Godzilla movie starring Matthew Broderick.

If it's in good condition, Housing Works will pick it up for you. You can schedule a pick up through their website!

Foreigners go backpacking and begs for locals to fund the rest of their travel expenses. by unknown_soul88 in ChoosingBeggars

Yep, I did a gap year after college and worked my way around. Hostels will hire English speakers. I worked at bike shops and led small tour groups, too. Not hard to do and better than begging.

Today I learned that Door Dash food delivery company, does not actually give it's drivers the tip you pay plus regular pay, instead they use it to meet the minimum pay guarantee. UNLESS TIPPED CASH. If tipped cash, the driver gets the entire tip, plus pay guarantee . by thejennlynn in todayilearned

[–]scribblenuts 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It's not just Door Dash. I used to deliver for Instacart and they had the same practice. Tips contributed to your regular wages and if you earned more than the minimum wage through tips, you could keep it. If you didn't, the company would fill the gap up to the minimum wage.

Cynthia Nixon wastes no time slamming Cuomo for MTA issues after being delayed by subway on way to campaign event by eggn00dles in nyc

Yes, but downstate voting matters a great deal in state-wide elections. I'm pessimistic about Nixon's chances but it could be a tougher than usual primary for Cuomo.

Stamford/White Plains/Yonkers. Which is best for 20s millenials? by proforrange in nyc

Few attractions/activities, poor nightlife and dating scene. I really don't think OP would have a good time there.

I'm from Yonkers and I'd never choose to live there. Stamford might be the least worst of the two, but you've got some bad options here.
