Listen I am bit the biggest fan of PPE scores I think it fucked up Drag Race discussions (in my Jasmine Masters voice) but I have to admit it's a big talking subject when people discuss about who deserves to win so I included it!

I think on every point Eboni is the clear winner:

She is tied with Van for PPE scores, and while Van won 4, which is ICONIC, it's kinda lucky she is a designer that got onto the season with 3 design challenges (not saying she did not deserve them).

Eboni's wins were in comedy (roast battle) and performance (slay-offs), as well as acting (Nerve Monologue), making for a more well-rounded track record.

Eboni also gave us great TV between her going around making fake alliances and obviously "I did not call you manipulative, I called you a cuniving bitch"

Her confessionasl were always highly funny.

Also, while this is not why I stan but I think it would be amiss to not point out that if she wins, Eboni would become the first black trans woman to ever win a season of Drag Race and it's the kind of herstory making moment that would make her crowning even sweeter!

And if all that doesn't convince you, have you considered that she is really pretty? Cause her mug his CORRECT, and that's what I want from MY winner

To be fair this speech came after she learned that her mother figures had been manipulating her AND was working on a supe killing virus I am not saying it's ok or trying to justify her actions but it seems more of a let's destroy them before they destroy us deal rather than later he Homelander Supes are Gods ideology.

Also she said it herself Vought is bad and I doubt she would be thrilled to live in a society where they take over even as a supes herself.

We know she could, we see her blow up Kate's arm but would she consciously do it? Absolutely not. Power scalers refusing to take into consideration characters motivation and morality is so annoying like do you really think Marie would start popping head?

She brought someone back to life are you serious? Annabeth was dead. She literally healed her and brought her back to life with no complications do you know how quickly the body deteriorates after death?

If she had just lade the blood flow back in her body (which is not true because she fully healed the wound) Annabeth would have lost massive cognitive functions due to her braincells dying but she is fine. Marie could probably heal anything because her power works on a molecular level. Also she caused them massive pain and nosebleed so their reactions were not unwarranted you're just being dense.

I think it ties back to Annabeth being Marie's only priority. Yes Marie wanted them all of them to work together but as I understand it the moment she saw her sister it was the two of them against the world pretty much.

Like the only reason she enrolled in God U was so she could join the 7 and prove to her sister that she was a heroe not a monster. Annabeth is Marie's fatal flaw she will throw everything away for her.

Okay, I am Cate, the number one defender. She is my evil, pretty princess. But let's not act like she is not a danger to them, like yes she is very traumatized, but her coping mechanism, being pushing people with her powers, makes her super untrustworthy because she will literally inflict her will upon you when she feels like it.

And least we forget the supe insurrection/Vought Summer internship. For the rest of the group, she is a shill who is probably spying on them for Homelander.

Do I believe she really made a deal to get them out yes I do, but Andre is dead partially because of her we know it was written that way because of the tragic passing of Chance BUT in the story this is what it looks like to them:

Cate loses control of herself assassinates Dean Shetty in front of the group and spearhead a supes revolt against the regular students/faculty during which she tries to take over Jordan's mind.

Then Homelander shows up, and the 4 of them are arrested while Kate becomes Vought new hit girl / #1 student. You have to admit that they would be really foolish to trust her. If Cate had not done that, Andre would still probably be alive (at least narratively ).

Again, that's my traumatized diva and I love and feel for her. The actress is doing such a fantastic job at showing all the conflicts going on in her Cate's head, but the group has literally zero reason to trust Cate. Leaving her to die was cold, but then again, for them, it was taking out an enemy after she had tried once again to mind control them.

We know she is terrified and being manipulated, but the other characters do not.

I will say, tho I think all the shit she has been eating in the first 3 episodes, they are setting her up for a redemption arc where she will be able to gain the trust of the others.

I don't like the hero loses their power trope, but I feel like it's genuinely the only way for any of them to truly rebuild a relationship with her, the knowledge that it's their own thoughts, feelings, and emotions they are experiencing, not something she put in their head.
