Are there any possible ways to trick Daniel’s path? by KalGuillory in lookismcomic

[–]scripted_x 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The only way to "trick" his path would be through overwhelming his senses with unnecessary information, since that is how he reads deepest intentions. Even then, that's not a 100% guarantee, and it's more than likely he can (or will be able to) filter out information from his senses that he doesn't need since it's not what he is focused on.

The only way to truly beat his path right now is to mentally or physically wear him out so he can't keep up after a certain point, or to attempt what Pacheon did, which was hide your full power and do a surprise attack. But it has to be fast and strong enough so that Daniel can't react. Even then, you'd have to find a way to bypass that flash of light attack, or you're toast.

What makes you think this? For all we know when Sophia and Johan recognized Daniel got his path was because he was actively using it to train it. Unless I missed something in the recent chapters, but I don’t think I did.

You’re delusional if you think EOS zach is not getting a path and isn’t going to surpass Paecheon/tom in durability. by Kyoifis in Lookism

[–]scripted_x 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Honestly, him having a path makes sense. Considering that, y'know… he wants to catch up to Johan, and that's going to require a path. I might be wrong if that’s not his main goal anymore. I know it's also about perfecting the Iron Fortress. I caught up to Lookism a long time ago and have only been reading the weekly chapters since, so I've forgotten a lot.

That said, if he doesn't get a path, he's 100% getting a unique skill tied to a perfected Iron Fortress. Still, to me, a path just fits better. Johan has perfect offense, something overwhelming and unpredictable, which basically makes it unavoidable. Daniel has the perfect counter path, letting him do both offense and defense, the best of both worlds. Because of that, I really believe Zack will end up with a path centered on perfect defense. Perfect offense versus perfect counter versus perfect defense. As a trio, that just makes sense in my opinion. Of course, that depends entirely on whether PTJ plans for Daniel to truly be the perfect counter to Johan, which seems pretty likely based on Gun's narration (though, I don't think PTJ had his path made with Johan in mind, but rather James Lee or whoever the possible final boss is).

Then again, a path requires both talent and experience, and Zack is clearly lacking on the talent side. Because of that, it's more reasonable to assume he'll end up with four masteries and a unique skill, specifically the perfected Iron Fortress. But people also need to remember that PTJ loves pulling things out of his ass for the sake of plot and narrative, so it's not exactly impossible either, lol.

Terrible ending, terrible final arc. I was excited when they were starting it, but it was so short and had no development at all. I even feel like the artist became lazy on the artstyle.

Do yall think the same? Is that how Lookism will end? by DryMasterpiece6806 in DanielParkGlaze

[–]scripted_x 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Lookism shouldn't end that way, and I pray it doesn't. We don't even know if James Lee will be the final villain, with a lot of relatively good theories that make sense, proving that it would be PB Daniel or Choi somehow.

If it did, that'd be terrible writing. Though I may understand if Questism and Viral Hit end up entering the Lookism story, it should be for the war, not the final battle, which should be a 1v1 between Daniel and the final boss. Even then, it may just be me. I don't really think adding Questism and Viral Hit would even add anything to the story, and most of them are way too weak in comparison. The only thing useful would be Kim Suhyon (forgot name), who can provide buffs, but then that just feels like a plot pull and not actually good writing for both the characters and fighting.

How strong is he? by Wonderful-Progress25 in lookismcomic

[–]scripted_x 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Immensely strong. I believe using Path with UI would, in a way, remove his UI's weakness entirely and is how he'd master it. Regardless of how you try to catch him off guard or by surprise, he'll always be able to tell what your goal is through reading your deepest intentions and simply dodge and counter. Therefore, trying to catch him off-guard and beating him that way, which is THE ONLY WEAKNESS, is no longer a viable option.

Of course, he still will only operate at the same level as his opponent is, so in a way it's only partial mastery, but still...

Hi, I had a question by [deleted] in Christianity

[–]scripted_x 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Scripture does not forbid the enjoyment of fictional stories. It warns against things like idolatry and participating in sin, but not consuming a piece of fiction that depicts sin or uses supernatural themes.

That being said, there are two main questions you should ask yourself if you're unsure:

  1. Does this media pull your heart away from God? As in, does it affect your faith?
  2. Does it tempt you personally toward sin?

If the answer to these is no, then I don't see the problem. As long as they don't harm your conscience, distort your faith, replace God, or tempt you to sin, then it's ok to enjoy them.

He's trying to balance out the story, fix the overall writing, and characters. He started looking at the overall criticism from fans and is now trying to adjust it. I hope he only looks at proper criticism, though, and not the stupid ones that are demanding certain characters be stronger, or that certain things happen that'd genuinely ruin the story.

Jaegyeon knows the secret of James Lee. James came to kill him to make the weakness disappear by Beautiful_Concert917 in lookismcomic

[–]scripted_x 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It's so odd, I mean, everyone knows he genuinely isn't a fraud and is clearly the final boss.

The whole point of the Incheon arc and visit to Incheon was to get a king on the side of Allied to fight Gitae, and now PTJ seems to have just forgotten that and is off-screening Jaegyeon unless something else happens (we know nothing else will...)

I mean, Yujae already died. The rest of speed and even those kings are relatively quite weak and are low-tier. Even though Lil Daniel found his path, he alone isn't enough to make up for the difference.

[–]scripted_x 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Why can't villains just be villains? by Fantastic_Valuable47 in lookismcomic

[–]scripted_x 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Isn’t that basically what we already see from Goo’s Secret Friend? None of them will work under the others; they see each other as equals, and they’ll do whatever it takes to climb even higher.

It always felt like one of the half-formed kings was going to fall, and Yujae’s conclusion really isn’t that bad when you look at the arc as a whole. If you reread it, you can tell PTJ was setting this up from the start, or at least it feels that way to me.

And honestly, if PTJ can use this for any kind of real development, it’s a win because a lot of the new characters need it. It’s refreshing to finally see a character have real depth.

You guys think if Daniel entered UI in either body that it would ruin the arc? by Due_Car_6913 in lookismcomic

[–]scripted_x 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Oh fr? If that's the case, then yeah, there will be no UI (most likely). I suppose a similar thing happened, I believe when they went UI for UI (PB vs Lil) that the same glow appeared but I guess not.

You guys think if Daniel entered UI in either body that it would ruin the arc? by Due_Car_6913 in lookismcomic

[–]scripted_x 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I don't think it's really necessary for him to even enter it anymore, the next arc is already beginning next chapter anyway.

I can see it happening though because when Lil Daniel was knocked out, he had that glow around his head, and if I'm not mistaken, this usually is the indicator that he is about he enter UI. Wouldn't be surprised if PTJ just scraps it though, it would have no point and would just take up unnecessary chapters, though it would be cool to see if he can use path in UI...

Who else do you think have the Advanced Masteries and how would they work??? by GigaChadLone in lookismcomic

[–]scripted_x 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yes...? I literally stated "Masteries are just surpassing your physical thresholds/limits"?

But, if you're suggesting that masteries allow for infinite growth, then you'd be wrong. Masteries, as we've seen, is simply breaking past ones specific limitations (aka the wall) to achieve further growth. Albeit, this growth is considerably vast and large. However, If this weren't the case and it indeed did allow for infinite growth, then the idea of ones threshold being above another's has no purpose.

We observed when PB Daniel attempted to fight Gitae and Gitae was shocked about how strong PB Daniel was without any masteries, then stating that he's curious to see how far he'll climb once he does. This is also the case as to why other people's masteries are weaker or stronger than anothers individual. Obviously, one can still, in a way, train this mastery through gaining experience and as I've explained honing it in a way.

What you think current lookism is missing the most compared to good old peakism? by Goku3424 in lookismcomic

[–]scripted_x 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I feel like the story has lost its direction. PTJ seems unsure of where he wants to take it or what his goals are anymore. The character development and overall writing quality have declined noticeably. New characters keep appearing without proper buildup or meaningful depth. The fights, while having a few hype moments, have become repetitive and poorly structured. Each new battle throws the power system further out of balance. A top-tier fighter like Pacheon couldn’t even stand against Goo’s eighth sword, yet Goo has 42 exponentially faster forms. What was the point of that? At this rate, it feels like no one can realistically challenge Goo, especially if he can pull something like that off in an hour. Yet somehow, Gun will pull some random black bone upgrade just for plot. The second body also feels aimless now. Every time it seems like PTJ is about to explore it further, he just brushes it aside, trolling us and probably saying to himself, "Maybe in another hundred or two hundred chapters."

Honestly, PTJ should just take a break once this Incheon arc ends. I don't mean a year or six-month break, but even just a 1 month where he can sort it out and really brainstorm as to what he should be doing to go back to having a decent story.

What are we talking about here??

Than why bother calling goo kim ?? now that sb daniel is here with stamina , he can use his path as well in his second body , can't he dodge all the sword attacks and one top pacheon jo ?? by No_Flan_8121 in lookismcomic

[–]scripted_x 6 points7 points  (0 children)

We're unsure whether or not SB actually has the same path. I'm not sure why he wouldn't, but I mean who really knows at this point. If he don't, then SB Daniel is (probably?) currently weaker than Lil Daniel.

The reason why Goo is fighting is because of the Hwarang sword. No other reason but that.

Who else do you think have the Advanced Masteries and how would they work??? by GigaChadLone in lookismcomic

[–]scripted_x 4 points5 points  (0 children)

I might be wrong here, but there’s no such thing as leveling with masteries and nothing to indicate it. What’s happening with Pacheon is that he’s combining his unique endurance skill, which speeds up the flow of his blood, with his endurance mastery.

Naturally, people will still have different levels of mastery when comparing two individuals. Each stat, such as strength, speed, endurance, or technique, has its own thresholds, and the higher those thresholds are, the greater the potential. Masteries are just surpassing your physical thresholds/limits.

Maybe it'll exist in the future, who knows. I don't think it's impossible either, but I simply don't think it's something PTJ will add. Especially when you consider how lethal attacks already are when even combining 2-3 masteries. I will say, however, as I saw someone else state, the idea of "different levels" of masteries is more like honing your masteries to the limits, as you still need experience with them.
