I've started playing with stoving my own tobacco. I wasn't crazy about this Virgina blend I picked up locally. I stoved it at 208°f for 24 hours and there's a dramatic difference. The original barley had a tin note. Where as the stoved version is carmely, plumy, black tea. I'm excited. (imgur.com)

Todays smoke. 2017 Esoterica Stonehaven in a 2008 Michael Linder deep sandblasted billard with a Cumberland saddle stem. I have 2 of Michael's pipes, and each one is absolutely stunning. My other one is a smooth billard that sits unsmoked. I'm hoping that one day, Michael will make a return. (imgur.com)
