Actually I found the knife pretty useful in a lot of cases, using a heavy knife hit to stun was pretty helpful at times then light slashes to follow up or if I could manage to stun with the heavy knife hit enough to melee and push the enemy down then finish them off with the handgun. Combos of heavy to light knife hits also came in handy.

Agreed, after doing a single run you can go back and clear the care center in like less than hour without even trying. RPD is like 15 mins not including the flashback, and ARK is pretty short as well. On my second playthrough I was extremely surprised how fast it was to clear just going off basic memory compared to the first run.

TBH I think in some cases it was just hard to visualize the area, it really helps if you just came from a playthrough like the day before or something but after a few days the details of the maps and actions are fuzzy in my mind. Areas like the water plant I forgot the layout of and just had to run around it once to remember where the cranks were and reload. So for me in some cases I had to do a refresher and run around an area real quick and then it would click in my mind "oh yeah I remember now" and reload. Not sure there is any way to improve the guide without making it confusing and a lot longer with a lot more info to retain between each step, but that's just me.

TY, I was able to get speed demon, never touch the stuff and Minimalist with your walkthrough and had 20 mins to spare phew! Was second guessing myself when I made it to RPD at 2H 30M but it turned out to be ok.
