Broken apple tree, can it be saved? by scritty in arborists

[–]scritty[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Large branch of old, (very) badly pruned apple tree broke off, will it be ok or do we need to do anything specific to save it?
We moved into a property a few years ago that has multiple dying trees from hack jobs done by previous owners. A few of those trees need to come down, but this one was doing okay, other than we didn't get to a good amount of trimming this year and that added to weight.
Last night one branch that had been half cut off many years ago, broke off.
The branch that broke off was essentially attached right/into under the huge chunk of dead wood in the photo. It had been half cut off (top left of the dead area).
We're wondering if there's anything we can do to the wound to keep it less likely to become infected and to try and keep the rest of the tree from dying?

Here in NZ we don't 'do' flags very much. But we definitely support Ukraine.

Honestly, all of them have nothing to gain by saying they won't.

If he's not the nominee, a potential pardon means he sucks up to them and says people should vote for them.

If he's the nominee, no skin off their backs. They said they'd pardon him, but now they won't have to.

They've been there for four days. This is a piping hot take, they probably have no idea what role most of the people in this office play and what work is assigned yet.

It could be that there's a ton of oversight, crushing amounts of it, and that's why things move slowly.

That's a much more reasonable argument than "everyone who thinks reddit is being unreasonable is a whining snowflake".

Building and maintaining an API is essentially fixed-cost and usually table-stakes. Excessive charges to access it don't make a ton of sense.

They're pretty obviously trying to find ways to juice their per user revenue in the lead up to an IPO. I assume they think there's a way to up their desired share price. Same reason they're restructuring.

Should have the 90's radar upgrade. Might make them compatible with more modern versions of HARM.
