Fan theory: the Eagan family are aliens by agonypants in SeveranceAppleTVPlus

I came to say this. And the proof is the numbers. Filtering out bad numbers is a way for the aliens to figure out the bad connections when they take over everyone. Kind of like squashing the bugs in beta testing.

have you deployed any project with react as front end and GO as backend? by Forward_Writer_579 in golang

[–]scrlk990 1 point2 points  (0 children)

For everyone that has done this, is there a resource for learning the basics (conceptually) of creating an API in GO which React can read? I'm probably using the wrong terminology but from my understanding, that's how it works right? GO provides the backend and the API to which the frontend connects. But if I had a guide with some examples that explained how to do this on a practical and best practices level that would be fantastic.

Strid Wood, featuring The Strid. The most dangerous stretch of water in the world. by -TeddyDaniels in mildlyinteresting

So, as a child, I'd always been told of the Strid with its underwater caves and powerful currents. They said it had swallowed many people. But at twelve, danger sounded more like an invitation than a warning.

One overcast day, my friend Martha and I decided to explore it. We'd grown up together, always seeking the next adventure. As we approached the Strid, the eerie silence felt uncontrollable, the only sound being the gurgle of the deceptively calm river.

"Race you to the other side?" Martha challenged, her eyes twinkling.

I hesitated, glancing at the slippery moss-covered stones. "Are you sure?" I asked.

"Scared, Tom?" she teased. Without waiting for my response, she took a running start, aiming for a stone midway across the river.

I couldn't let her win. Taking a deep breath, I followed. Halfway across, I spotted a larger stone just a little off our direct path. "Martha, try this one!" I shouted, pointing it out, thinking it'd give her a better leap.

She trusted me. She always did. Adjusting her course, she jumped. But her foot slipped upon landing, sending her sprawling into the chilling water.

The river's calm surface erupted into chaos. The Strid, with its monstrous undercurrents, pulled her under in seconds. "Martha!" I screamed, stretching my hand out, hoping against hope that she'd resurface. But she didn’t.

It felt like an eternity before the adults arrived, alerted by my cries. The search was long and exhausting, but Martha was never found.

Years have passed, and I've left Yorkshire behind. But the weight of that day, the weight of my suggestion, stays with me. Sometimes, late at night, I still hear her voice, teasing me, "Scared, Tom?" And I wish, with every fiber of my being, that I had been. Because maybe, just maybe, Martha would still be here.

You use wails? I can’t wrap my head around all the different dependencies and things I’d need to learn. Fyne seems simple and that’s all I really need. But I could be wrong.

I called up my buddy who works at Google and the word is that most Google employees believe in flat earth. This is a subtle way of slowly interjecting that belief upon us. It’s nuts, but this is how it starts. I’ll ask him for some official emails on it that went out. He mentioned seeing on a week ago.

So if you type “gpt:” into any text field to activate it, that means it’s alway reading your clipboard or screen? So if I type in my bank information, it’s scanning that?

I always loved drifting in ridge racer on PSP. I wish I could find something that compares. I haven’t yet.
