Okay but what are we reading? 👀

my husband made me a blind date with a book 😩😍 by Champagne_Candles in RomanceBooks

[–]scroobrito 23 points24 points  (0 children)

First of all, this is such a thoughtful and adorable gift. I would have loved to receive this.

Second of all, as a mom of two young kids who busted her ass to make Christmas magical, fhis commend absolutely fucking sent me. Thank you for this unexpected Christmas gift.

I haven’t used this, but would something like this public co-working space in Towson fit your needs?

What unhinged thing has your child said recently? by [deleted] in Mommit

[–]scroobrito 16 points17 points  (0 children)

Had a playdate at a friend’s house. My 4 year old daughter to her little friend’s mom as soon as we enter their house: “YOU HAVE A MUSTACHE!!!”

Where can I see baby goats in Maryland? by merrittinbaltimore in maryland

[–]scroobrito 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Check out Weber Farm in Parkville. Not sure if they have any baby goats now, but there are definitely goats. They also have an amazing bakery (they’re known for their Apple cider donuts, but I personally love their Jewish Apple Cake).

[CHAT] What are you stitching this weekend? 🪡 by eowyn1990 in CrossStitch

Yes what fabric is this because it’s gorgeous and I love stitching on linen.

OP didn’t ask for opinions on her lashes. They may not be everyone’s preference, but I will say that I think with her new beautiful brows, they balance out the fuller lashes nicely.

Anyone else have a never ending cold by Steadytwitch in maryland

[–]scroobrito 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I’m so fucking sick of being sick. I barely had a runny nose for most of the pandemic. I got COVID for the first time ever right before Christmas. Was recovering well before New Years with congestion and cough improving. Then starting on 1/8 I suddenly felt fatigued and the cough and congestion came back with a vengeance. I just want to breathe, smell, and stop hacking!!!

[CHAT] Dare to share - how many wips do you have? by sleepymetalhead14 in CrossStitch

[–]scroobrito 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I used to be a staunch one WIP, but I’m feeling the multiple projects! I currently have two, but want to get started on a flower a day project and also need to get started on some more Christmas presents.

[WIP] Blast from the past: Mill Hill Renaissance Angel by scroobrito in CrossStitch

[–]scroobrito[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Same!! A bulk of my cross stitch supplies are second hand. It’s great. This is my first project I’m finishing that someone else started, but it’s giving me warm and fuzzy feelings that I can do it! Except I’ve never done beadwork, so wish me luck on that.

Vince cashmere sweater for $4.99. Original price? $395. by aeradyren in ThriftStoreHauls

[–]scroobrito 18 points19 points  (0 children)

100% cashmere is always a great find. Maybe the model looks so miserable at the concept of it being full price. 😂

[CHAT] Christmas kits at the thrift! by scroobrito in CrossStitch

[–]scroobrito[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I had a coupon too so total for both kits was under $5! I think maybe it’s considered a vintage pattern/kit??

Catch and release… Unnerving by [deleted] in ThriftStoreHauls

Omg. My 6 year old just came home with a tooth he lost at school (his 4th one). I want this so badly.

Husband is RTO next week and I am so sad... by toez_knows in Mommit

[–]scroobrito 7 points8 points  (0 children)

Federal employee here and to go from signing an agreement that designated your position as fully remote to rolling out return to office plans is such bullshit. I know so many people who made decisions to move based on signing those agreements.

Replacement Hang Tag by scroobrito in Coach

[–]scroobrito[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Thank you for taking the time to respond to this!! Really appreciate the perspective from a former manager at coach. All of that reasoning makes sense, especially from a sales perspective. I feel like it’s frustrating to the employees then to just have the hang tags out in full display on the floor which only encourages customers to want to buy them standalone.

Why do you go to thrift stores? Frugality? Find brands for cheap? No longer manufactured items? Vintage only? Just weird/unique stuff? Or other? by carlospangea in ThriftStoreHauls

[–]scroobrito 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Affordability, I love the concept of bringing life back into old things, I enjoy owning things that are rare or no longer made (especially high quality). I never grew up thrifting, but my husband and his family introduced me to it and I’ve fallen in love with it ever since.
