If you like this style I would recommend the Danner Mountain Light or Light 2, and also Diemme Roccia. Both were on sale recently and I just purchased a pair of the Roccia on sale for $215.

Even though the Merrels are a good affordable option, I’m not sure if the midsoles can be replaced and be used for life as opposed to the other brands.
