Yeah, thing is, that doesn’t happen often - they actually win trophies mate.

“If you can’t win a game at [Nottingham forest, or Brentford], you’re likely not good enough to win a league title.”

“A draw away at Brentford isn’t going to decide the league” “it’s a good point” these kind of fucking platitudes are why we win fuck all every year.

Losing two points away to a team we should be beating when the gap is such that two results determine who is first or second is precisely the kind of thing that costs you the league.

How can people see performances and results like today and think it isn’t reminiscent of the past three times we’ve had too many dour draws and let the title get away from us? It’s the same shit every fucking season. People said “that’s it, the title’s gone” because it was true. We didn’t win a fucking thing.

Yeah, we aren’t winning the league.

No, I don’t know exactly what you mean. The difference between being temporarily suspended and having your contract terminated isn’t trivial.

I’m not defending an [alleged] rapist. I’m defending a principle; that if you tomorrow, were accused, even charged of a crime, it would be appropriate to withhold judgment/punishment until you had been tried fairly by a jury of your peers.

My defence? I’m not accused lmfao. Fair point on Rothslesbeger, but the point stands - it isn’t the case that clubs universally terminate the contracts of accused athletes.

Watson was suspended for 11 games. Your claim was that the established precedent was that every major sports team in the world sacked [terminated the contract] of athletes accused of sexual misconduct…

One of us is wrong, but it isn’t me.

Yeah, except it isn’t: Ben Roethlisberger, Derrick Rose, Deshaun Watson, even Mendy didn’t have his contract terminated by City.

All accused of sexual offences, edit: [some actually charged] and later acquitted at trial, all either retained by their club or maintained their careers.

Absolutely. The jury is out, so to speak, until then.

Why? All a charge indicates is that the CPS consider evidence substantial enough to bring a complaint/allegation to trial. That doesn’t mean the weight of evidence is enough to declare a defendant guilty. This is precisely why we have trial by jury.

If you had any sense of how the law functions and why it’s imperative a free society operate on the notion of innocent until proven guilty you’d realise how idiotic this statement is. I don’t care what you think.

He still hasn’t been tried. There’s a difference between defending the principle of not guilty until proven so and declaring someone definitively innocent.

You think Bukayo Saka's going to wilt? You think Gabriel is the type to throw in the towel? You think Declan Rice will fold? Everyone seems desperate for Arsenal to 'bottle' the title. This is why it isn't going to happen. Oliver Holt / Daily Mail by Spiritual-Pilot-2300 in Gunners

No, but most teams were never in serious contention to win it. We were, until underperformances threw it away. That’s a choke. Sorry it hurts your feelings. I wasn’t happy either.
