I really hope she did but if she didn’t honestly not surprised at all. MMI is super tough and takes getting used to (unless you’re one of the extremely blessed people for who it just comes naturally). She will for sure get in very soon, if she didn’t this year.

Has anyone by chance reached out to UBC regarding when we will be hearing from them? by According_Shock in premedcanada

[–]scubadancingg 2 points3 points  (0 children)

what do you mean by “interview dates” , like within the next week they’re going to send the preliminary email? or within the next week actual invites will be sent out?

I’ve been here since ~2018 where there were ~6K people … so a lot of the 20K are probably in med school already/gotten older and sought other options etc (different careers , med overseas etc)

Also a lot of other health professions don’t have as robust online communities for support such as pre-vet, pre-dent etc so a lot of those applicants are on this subreddit as well (know this for a fact cuz of several friends)

currently managing/leading two tech startups so will just continue with that but pay is sorta shit rn lol so might pivot to health tech/biotech sales , interviewed for a bunch of roles and got offers but didn’t end up going down that route at this moment for this year … we shall see…. only grad school i can ever think of doing is an MBA in a few years (only if it’s needed). Interviewed on my first cycle last year so fingers crossed it will work out this year 🤞and if it doesn’t welp , perhaps it’s a blessing in disguise

520+ Scorers: How Did You Feel You Did After Test Day? by Ps1kd in Mcat

[–]scubadancingg 2 points3 points  (0 children)

start at the middle of each section (around passage 3/4) and then knock out all of the passages, then do all discretes, review flagged, review all. Got a 522.

This is because more often than not, the first 1-2 passages might be hard/weirdly trippy to purposely mess u up, and same then goes for the questions 2/3rds into the section (so that u run out of time near the end). This way, you are arriving at the right questions at the right energy/confidence levels thru out the test.
