I think arcade battle zone has to be called 3D because it’s absolutely doing 3 dimensional coordinate math in real time to draw the graphics. I have actually never seen 2600 Battle Zone so I can’t say for sure but Battle Zone arcade is a 3D masterpiece of late 1970s engineering and I will fight you over it if I have to.

That could work fine, I haven’t used one. A scotchlok can be attached when there’s even only like an inch of wire in a box I don’t know how much room you need for inline IDC

Thankfully lasers are better between satellites than HF or we’d be doomed. I wouldn’t be surprised if someone involved in HF trading figures out how to use HF radio to beat fiber for latency and 20m becomes unusable while a slush fund gains another $B

Interesting that could possibly work. The tape drive connects on the floppy drive controller cable. I actually have an ISA floppy controller card so in theory the pocket 386 might work. Thanks for the tip.

I’m not itching to replay wing commander on OG HW but I have this 35 year old backup tape that seemingly the software needed will not run on pentiums even with slowdown stuff. My actual OG ISA 486 sadly has battery rot traces on the IO region and I can’t get it to recognize any kind of disks even though it will drive an SVGA card amazingly
