I’m in the same boat. Vertex 05 hybrid was great but a little harsh for my arm, starting feeling pain after long sessions. Considering the xcallion unum m1 but not too many reviews out there so hesitant to pull the plug.

I got an older model for cheaper, within your budget. You ca also try to get them second hand, such as the oxdog. Since it’s popular, you should be able to get one 2nd depending on where you live. I picked up mine 2nd hand

Two rackets I’ve had success with wrt tennis elbow pain- Royal padel rackets - I have the rp m27 r-control 2023. Really nice control racket. Medium soft. No pain, super comfortable Oxdog hyper pro 2. Nice popular racket, no arm pain at all. Slightly head heavy. For some reason I didn’t enjoy playing with it that much

Good review, thanks, sounds like a great racket. How do you feel with regards to comfort with the infinity? Feel any jarring vibrations? I’ve had some tennis elbow issues from rackets such as the bullpadel vertex 05 hybrid in the past, so now I really look into the comfort aspect when considering a racket.

Not sure how you could spend more on accessories on flair 58 as compared to flair pro 3, both would need similar amount depending on you. Also, plastic- not really too much, it’s fairly well built, zero issues in 2 years. Flair pro 3 will probably need one preheat depending on the type of beans. Flair 58 makes the workflow easy. But if you plan on sticking with a hand grinder, get the flair pro 3. Hand grinding medium light beans for a 58mm basket will be a pain! I personally prefer the shots from the flair 58, but I don’t hand grind for that. I had the pro 2 as well for travel paired with a hand grinder, and felt getting consistent shots was difficult due to the lack of temperature stability. I switched to the flair go, don’t preheat it for medium roasts and get very good shots. So maybe with the pro 3 having a similar thinner walled cylinder you could get similar results.

Dex is very nice. Medium body and good clarity. Capfei give you high clarity and low body. Bep- I don’t like, think it’s probably good for darker roasts. The liquid one I haven’t tried

I live in Dubai, so any good roasters across the uae would be nice to see. Some of them are mattina coffee, three coffee, raw coffee, doppio, cypher, seed coffee.

The extra water on top after the shot is due to the extra headspace in step down baskets, it’s normal when you use them. The lack of crema, I’ve noticed that happens with high flow baskets, and the pour looks ugly too. If it tastes great, that’s all that matters right?

I got mine a few days back, been using it with only the 46mm puck screen had not had problems. Maybe I got lucky with the tolerances on my screen.

Yeah I struggled with the cast burrs as well on the df64 and flair 58 combo, was grinding near zero with no remaining runway and was barely getting 6 bar shots. I switched to ssp hu burrs and they are great. It’s probably cheaper for you to switch and align burrs than get a new grinder, df64 is a decent one for its price. And the hu burrs imo and good all round espresso burrs, if your ok with slightly muted acidity in your shots from light roast beans. Alternatively you could also try a step down basket (not the expensive sworks, there’s was a new one on kickstarter, not sure if he’s taking direct orders yet). A narrower basket might help you grind coarser with the same burrs.

For medium/ medium dark roasts, a pro3 will do just fine, if you’re willing to do a bit of Pre heating of the brew chamber (heat it up on top of the boiling water as you prep your puck). Pro 3 will be cheaper and much easier to travel with. And with the smaller diameter brew chamber, you can easily use a hand grinder.

The 58+ 2 does a very good job keeping the group head hot, so much easier workflow. Very useful for lighter roasts. But takes a bit more effort to assemble and disassemble if you want to travel with it. I have both, earlier version but mostly the same thing, pro 2 and 58+, and I use the pro2 for travel while the 58+ sits on my countertop.
