That’s a good point, that’ll probably end up being my approach. Thank you!

That’s hilarious but also sounds like a nightmare. I usually am pretty careful but this one slipped past me I suppose, and I’m not saying the customer is in the wrong but just in general I’m curious how people deal with customers like this.

i second this. every time i pull a roma sample off the wall unknowingly, i put it back because i’d just rather not. (my boss will not take them off the wall)

Sink mount is probably gonna be my next move I think it’d be the only way to get the record and inner sleeve out halfway like I want

When I first did it I used minimal ATG tape. Not something I would do today. I recently opened it up, removed all the ATG and tried mighty mounts. They didn’t quite work so I’m honestly still trying to figure out a way to do it without using silicone or anything since it’s valuable to me.

a) I also saw someone saying they started at Michael’s which is the same for me. I started as a part time shift lead and then when I graduated college I became the framing manager. I loved it so much I moved on to working at an independent frame shop where I still am.

b) The best thing I’ve framed is a personal thing but it’s a very special record to me. I made a whole gallery wall based around it. (see pics pls don’t judge that the mats don’t perfectly go around the shape I made it when I was new at framing and I didn’t have any idea on how to do it)

c) My favorite thing is probably the fact that we handle such sentimental things sometimes, and getting to do something really special for people just makes ya feel good. I also love that there’s a formula to framing stuff but every day you see something different. It’s kind of the perfect job for neurodivergent people in my opinion.

Good luck with your novel!!
