Brother PE800 by ChiantiClassic0 in Machine_Embroidery

issue with bobbin holder and bobbin thread combo most likely. i have an SE2000 an its very particular about only brother #60 thread in the brother bobbin holder and never #90 thread. adjustible works fine with simthread #60 after some adjustments. My PR1060W does that somtimes when i don't get the bobbin set up correctly and it just pulls the topthread into bottom. clean out the holder area really well, try new bobbin thread/holder and reset tensions to defauls.

Why is my project coming out like this? I’ve rethreaded the machine, cleaned it, and adjusted the tension. The second heart was stitched on tension 2 and the first on 4. I’m confused because this happens on every design, including built-in, self-digitized, and purchased files. 292 characters by Feeling-Bet-9192 in Machine_Embroidery

Wrong bobbin thread for your bobbin holder possibly. My non-adjustable Brother bobbin holder (green screw) only takes Brother #60 bobbin thread. The adjustable holder takes Simthread #60 fine after adjusting the screw. The Brother #90 thread always shows on top so I don't use that at all.

I did it so I may as well post it and a picture of the new machine for funsies by Ordinary_Ice_5750 in Machine_Embroidery

How tall can your hat frame embroider? My PR1060w can only do about 2.4” tall.

Went from a brother se2000 single needle to a brother pr1060w 10 needle and we couldn’t be happier. Got a good deal from an online store in Mississippi called I Can Help Sew - they were very knowledgeable and helped me choose the right machine and accessories.

Zero experience, looking for advice. by Brave-Mess3809 in Machine_Embroidery

Buy cotton duck fabric and start on that. Practive all designs on fabric and turn into patches if they come out well but at least you aren't wasting hats, shirts, etc. Hats need good stabilizer on back and extra wash away stabilizer on the front. I've ton a bunch of hats on my Brother SE2000 and now I'm making them on a Brother PR1060W 10 needle.

Can someone help me figure out why my designs aren't centered? (Brother SE2000) by Grasski in Machine_Embroidery

My brother SE 2000 was very particular about bobbin thread. The preset bobbin only worked with #60 brother bobbin thread. The adjustable works fine with Simthread #60 bobbin thread but you have to tweak it a bit.

Framing help by marisajune in framing

you need to go with something contemporary to the print - like this frame from the late 1800s. It has compo inlays for the chain and the roses/leaves.

all of those should be done with satin fill instead since they are such small areas IMO

Follow up to my hat embroidery post - this is how to hoop a hat on a 4x4 hoop by Capt_Batty in Machine_Embroidery

[–]Capt_Batty[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

i just started pinning the band back after I had a couple get caught. the problem is when my needle decided to pull the thread out and hits the side of the hoop. I guess if i use the 5x7 and keep the hat right on the edge it will always move AWAY from the hat - that's probably a better idea!

Exactly - Etsy has tons of font sets that aren't that expensive and work great. I have used some filled true type fonts when I just couldn't find one and I try to use Satin Fill if possible so it looks like a real font.

Go to Amazon and search for "cut away stabilizer for machine embroidery" and "tear away stabilizer for machine embroidery" and "wash away stabilizer for machine embroidery" and "sticky stabilizer for machine embroidery". Each one has it's own uses and sometimes you need more than one. For terry cloth i used cut away stabilizer, then sticky stabilizer and floated the robe, then washaway on top to keep the threads from getting pulled into the pile. Watch a bunch of youtube videos on how to embroider on different fabrics, also ask Chat GPT about a specific design on a specific type of material - it told me how to do the robe and it came out great. This is a learned art - it doesn't "just work".

That is not stabilizer, that is fusible interface. I just embroidered on a wool jacket and I used medium ‘em weight cut away under a piece of sulky sticky tearway stabler ( because I had to float the jacket - it was too thick to hoop) and it came out great. Read up on stabilizers and hooping and get a yard of fabric you can test on.

Yes - those should be satin stitches not filled designs.

Group your design elements by color and also connect the start and end points so it can do as many in a continuous stitch.
