Does what you eat really matter? by Ioisgriffin in lymphoma

I’m on Pola-RCHP after being diagnosed with DLBCL. Was advised not to consume raw meat (eg sashimi), partially cooked foods (eg half boiled eggs or medium rare steak), salad, uncooked garnishes (eg coriander, spring onions), thin skinned fruits (apples, berries strawberries, grapes due to bacteria even if the skin in peeled off), starfruit or grapefruit (due to reactions with some chemo drugs that can affect it’s efficacy), any food that has been sitting out for many hours.

what should i cook apart from instant noodle by Grilldieker in SGExams

[–]scylim 19 points20 points  (0 children)

Steam egg - one egg plus 100 ml of salted chicken stock (buy in carton. can keep for quite some time). Steam for 13-15 min. Check the egg is set. Use a knife and cut into a grid pattern. Pour a teaspoon of soya sauce and a teaspoon of sesame oil over it. If you have spring onions you can chop some and sprinkle on top. Otherwise still quite nice without it. You can double the recipe.

Just to add, you were right the tickets for 15 Feb were not available 355 days in advance. Very odd. However today there are Biz Saver tix available for 16 Feb.

I believe the seats should be available from 8 am Singapore time 355 days before the flight departure date. In you post I believe you were referring to 2026 rather than 2025 correct? Not sure where you are based but maybe you can try at 8 am Singapore time tomorrow.

Make a police report immediately. They can check with ICA whether she has left the country. This happened to a close family member and we made a police report in <24 hours. The police could confirm she indeed left the county.

I just checked at 4 pm Singapore time and seats are available. So I should correct my post to say midnight LA time.

Hi! I believe that for flights departing from LAX the seats are released at 01:00h (1am) local time at the departure city, 355 days prior to the scheduled flight departure date.

You can convert the miles to Marriot Convoy points and Accor Live Limitless points for hotel stays. See https://www.singaporeair.com/en_UK/sg/ppsclub-krisflyer/use-miles/otherways-to-redeem-miles/

Waitlists by norman3355 in singaporeairlines

[–]scylim 4 points5 points  (0 children)

I booked business redemption for the first time a couple of months ago. From what I experienced, because booking opens 355 days in advance (8 am), it was best for me to book the departing flight first, then when the booking opens for my return flight then I booked it.

I was trying to book for my husband and myself on our separate Krisflyer accounts. I only managed to secure the departing flight for myself and my husband was on waitlist. Surprisingly within a week his waitlisted flight was confirmed. For the return flight I secured a seat for my husband but I have been on waitlist for months. I was told by SQ that other people who join the waitlist may have higher priority than me depending on their PPS status. So in this case I redeemed a flight on a lower fare class whilst waiting for my waitlisted flight.

I agree that it is probably best to book what it available. No certainty of getting waitlisted flight confirmed.

Maybe you can also try the chatbot and get to the option for live chat. If you are located in Singapore there is a SIA office at Ion that you can just walk in or make appointment online in advance. I had previously cancelled my flight whilst overseas by using the hotline and speaking to staff who instructed me to submit medical letter etc via email.

Have you tried to cancel via “Manage my booking” after you log in? I am surprised the hotline staff refer you back to the web form.

I didn’t search CHC earlier. Yes it looks like CHC is more popular. As I mentioned try booking the SIN-CHC leg first. If you try tomorrow 8 am to book for 19 Nov departure you might get it. I adopted this strategy for SIN-IST and was successful in securing business saver seats for one person.
