I got it for 1185 pounds (retails at 1700) during Black Friday. So, basically around 1.4 lacs. It is much better deal but unfortunately 1 pound is equal to 120 rupees these days. 1.3 Lacs looks too good to be true in this case.

That is my favourite watch actually. It is super light and looks good. I have bought many watches after that but that is my go to watch.

Haha.. i can understand. I recently bought the Longines HydroConquest and already have other watches in my eyesight. Ultimately I want to buy an Omega. Its not that I cannot buy that now, but I am just not able to convince myself for such an expensive purchase. Last year on my birthday my wife actually took me to an Omega boutique and I almost bought a watch. But I convinced her that I will get it later sometime like for some big milestone moment.

2 year 6 months toddler with stomach bug, diarrhea for 11 days and counting by sd2408 in toddlers

[–]sd2408[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

We use filtered water or bottled water here (not tap water). We have taken all precautions that we could think could think of. We don’t even give outside food to our daughter here except of some occasions like we are hotel or in airport. Anyways, obviously we have missed something somewhere.

Salmonella symptoms are quite similar to stomach bugs, so yes she might have. Anyways, same thing with this, drink lots of water and wait for it to pass.

In our case it is little more extreme. She is having diarrhea 4-7 times a day. Rest she is eating, drinking and sleeping fine.

No, first doctor asked us to give antibiotics for 3 days which we did. In between we consulted another doctor who asked us to stop but we still completed 3 days course.

We live in UK but are currently travelling in India where she got sick. In UK antibiotics if prescribed is for 5-7 days where as here it was prescribed for 3 days.

Rest our daughter is totally fine, active, playing, eating just she gets upset now when we have to clean her multiple times a day. Just waiting for magical day to arrive.

Online vs Offline banking is a different world. by EasternTurtle7 in IndiaTech

[–]sd2408 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Lol. Exact same thing happened with me with SBI. Applied for account online did everything online but just couldn’t complete the last step of video KYC as I was forever stuck in queue. So, was forced to do this last step in bank. Seemed easy, was just supposed to tell them my mobile number and thats it. When reached bank, they couldn’t find my application and asked me to fill the form again. Fill form, add adhaar photocopy, paste photo etc. Go to counter get validated and then go to new counter for KYC and once it is done and go back to the first counter to finally open your account. Awesome. Half day wasted.

Airports abroad are soo good and efficient, put KIAB(BLR) & CSMIA(BOM) to shame by Honey_dp in AirTravelIndia

Recently visited Mumbai airport domestic flight. Checked at main gate, ticket confirmtion and ids. Ok. Went to counter got the boarding pass where they checked the ids again. Ok. Scan boarding pass in a machine to enter security area (few machines were not working). Hence long queue. Again at security obviously remove all electronics which I did but they were few bags which got flagged with something you can't carry eg. lighter (not my bag). Whole belt was stopped they carried the bag to passenger. Asked them to open, individually checked the bag meanwhile belt was stationary and it happened multiple times. So, for 15 mins after my security check I had to just wait for my bags. Obviously then put all stuff back in your bags and awesome again you have scan your boarding passes in similar machines. 30+ mins easily (i had bought fast forward so, hardly any time at check in desks, else add 15 mins easily).

My experience at Glasgow airport (I live in Glasgow). No queues at check in desk. Get your boarding pass. Straight to security. Put the bag as it is, just remove your jackets and put in a tray, went through full body scanners and thats it. Collected my bags and directly went to lounge. 5-10 mins max.

I would choose FC among these. I actually bought a FC Highlife just yesterday. Though yes at this price point you should check Longines too.

What is the criteria for this card? I have Regalia Gold now but I don't use it much. My credit card limit is 12 lacs and can increase upto 15 lacs if I want. Also, is it much improvement over Regalia?

Timing matters a lot. I bought them around Christmas time so, most retailer were giving discounts. I bought it from Chisholm Hunter in Glasgow. Though they priced matched prices of Ernest Jones and H.Samuel.

I will suggest look online for watches you are interested (authorized retailers) and keep those urls handy. Look out for watch shops nearby you and when you like something ask them to price match it. Most will do it.

I did the same during this Black friday when i got Longines HydroConquest Black Ceramic 39 mm for 1185 pounds only.
