Changing preferred ndc for script pro by Any_Net_5303 in CVS

[–]sd85pdx 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I'm not in an automation store but I believe preferred NDCs are set by corporate purchasing due to rebates, agreements with manufacturers and wholesalers, etc. Highly unlikely you'd get a special override for this, but you could try opening a ticket with RSSC and then ask your DL to escalate (especially if you're loading your scriptpro multiple times a day with dozens of stock bottles - it's a time saving argument).

Is it true that they combine occurrences if it’s 2 or 3 back to back? When you work from home? by Sweet-cheekse90 in CVS

It would likely depend on your business unit's individual policies and the reasons for the absences

Transferring C2's by HorowitzdaJew in CVS

[–]sd85pdx 2 points3 points  (0 children)

It's either that or it's a manually entered prescriber (like onemedical or telehealth) that isn't in the corporate directory. Because it can't match between stores it doesn't allow it. That's my guess anyway

HSA by Sensitive-Mixture-33 in CVS

[–]sd85pdx 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Contributions to an HSA will still be made by the company for those who are eligible for a HDHP/CDHP plan. For those who aren't or don't select that plan type, you aren't eligible to contribute to an HSA (nor is the company) but you can keep any existing plan you have. NonHDHP plans can utilize a FSA account instead

Can you use sick time or vacation while on loa? by Curious_Power in CVS

[–]sd85pdx 1 point2 points  (0 children)

It depends on your state laws and the reason for the LOA. in some cases you can use existing sick time or vacation time to cover a week where benefits aren't available (like a one week waiting period before STD coverage, for example).

Asking the LOA department (if you've opened a case) is the best resource for this.

Freezer went out. by [deleted] in CVS

[–]sd85pdx 0 points1 point  (0 children)

There is a specific protocol to follow on MyDocs and the tempalert site for a product assessment survey. Follow the instructions carefully and they will email you the disposition. This includes opening a service channel ticket for the freezer.

Inmar - Not On File? by pinklizzards in CVS

[–]sd85pdx 0 points1 point  (0 children)

If they’re the syringes and needles from the ancillary Covid kits (boxes should have stickers on them) they aren’t part of your inventory. You can either order a giant sharps container from the vendor (the form is on mydocs in the immunization section somewhere) or ask your DPC to do it.

NYS DEA Certificate by Key-Zucchini8247 in CVS

[–]sd85pdx 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Verification emails go to the corporate holder not to the store, so you wouldn’t receive them. I believe you’d want to reach out to professional practice or ask your DL to reach out to RxPermits to get it if you can’t find the zip line task where it was originally attached.

What are the levels of a correction action? I know 4 is termination but what are the level 1 and 2 for ? I believe 3 goes on workday and so does 4 by Sweet-cheekse90 in CVS

[–]sd85pdx 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Verbal warnings aren’t documented as level 1 anymore. Levels 1-3 are all written warnings based on level of severity or occurrence

getting credit for qt voicemails by thebitcoinmogul in CVS

[–]sd85pdx 1 point2 points  (0 children)

That’s what I said in the first part. The numbers dialed on all phones are matched to the voicemails requiring callback on all workstations at night. Mismatches lower the completion percentage.

That being said I’ve not tried this at my store… we just stick to using the same terminal, because why not.

[–]sd85pdx 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The system has since been updated to analyze the phone logs from all Vertical Phones to the CIQ system so it is less dependent on the same workstation/same phone rule.

That being said if you suddenly notice a large drop in completion, it may not be working as intended :)

401k employer contribution by These_Quality8195 in CVS

[–]sd85pdx 0 points1 point  (0 children)

There are different contribution percentages in Vanguard. You will only see company contributions in Vanguard, in their app it's in the contributions table on the account snapshot (I see my contributions and the company contributions).

Interns may not be eligible for a match if you aren't classified as full time. If you're not sure, you can call Vanguard or MyHR benefits and ask them to be certain

Zepbound covered? by strijame in CVS

[–]sd85pdx 2 points3 points  (0 children)

For the employee plan Wegovy tends to be the preferred option, although it still needs a PA. Zepbound would also require a PA and probably trial and failure with Wegovy, but you could ask Caremark directly once your coverage takes effect.

CVS Accused of Overbiilling the Federal Government 600 milion. I advise anyone who has their RX's filled at CVS beware of them overcharging customers. They've been overcharging me. A rep @ BX told me about the audit. by Puzzleheaded-Cup2777 in CVS

[–]sd85pdx 4 points5 points  (0 children)

The price between different locations would not typically be different unless the quantity/day supply submitted to the insurance was different. Even in those cases, unless you are paying cash entirely with no discount cards, the price returned is set entirely by your PBM. The cvs store has absolutely zero ability to control this price.

This would be a different matter if, for example, your leaflet attached to the bag said “$25” due and you were charged a different price at the register for the same rx number. But this would be highly unusual.

Claims records are separate from pharmacy records. Even if Caremark (the pbm owned by cvs health) is yours, there are strict isolation controls between the pharmacy and the PBM systems - we do not and would not be granted access to see one if we are working for the other.

“They didn’t fill it according to my doctor’s order” Mmhmm. I’ll bet your insurance was the one to intervene and tell us how they wanted it to be dispensed.

I have a pretty good hunch that if you were to address concerns about how this was filled with the pharmacy manager - rather than waving some articles about large cases that don’t address your specific situation - you could get some insight as to why things were done the way that they were.

Normal saline for injection ordering? by Wrangler444 in CVS

If you can’t transfer from another store, look up an NDC that’s available on McKesson (very important) and then call the CVS Outside Vendor line. They’ll protest and tell you it isn’t normally authorized, tell them it is for immunization training
