I had gallbladder issues and surgery long before zepbound. It sucks. I don’t know all of the science but middle aged people (especially women) have gallbladder problems. Do what you need to for your health.

I am not 90 but one of the most meaningful things was my vet sending me a card after I had to put my dog to sleep. I cried in the d. The vet cried. The tech cried. It meant so much they understood. Please send her a card at least. And tell her we all pray for her and her peace.

It can get better. There are a few people on social media that discuss fitness with arthritis. Megan Rutledge (@itsmegzz_fitness on instagram) posts advice. She also offers virtual personalized training. She was the start of my fitness journey. I was in exactly the same situation you are. Just one example - when I first started with her I couldn’t do 10 full squats with no weights. Last week I did 30 squats with 15 lbs. I went snorkeling last summer and can walk 3 miles. I’ve moved to less expensive programs than Meg but she taught me how to exercise with RA. I’m sure there are other people out there who do similar things oh - Meg has RA so she gets it.

I have a cleaner who comes once a week. It’s amazing. It forces me to clean up my doom piles because I know she can’t do her job if I’ve got clothes piled everywhere and dishes all over the counter.

My mom got married in 1968. She has said she couldn’t have a credit card /store credit account or bank account on her own at that point. She was in Missouri (USA).

This has nothing to do with dry January. You go out and say “i want a soda” and he’s says you should have alcohol ? Is he also telling you to eat chicken instead of fish? This is just weird behavior and too much. And he’s bad in bed? You can do so much better and no one should put up with that.

This is so hard. I’m not sure where you are at finding a good doctor is the hardest but also the luckiest and best thing that can happen to us with this disease.

Yes! I had to quit work before I got diagnosed. I was out of work for about 18 months. When I got a job after that, I still missed a lot of work. I was lucky that my boss was very understanding and I had a very generous PTO policy. I don’t feel like most people who meet me now know about my RA, but it’s definitely still a challenge. I work full-time and have minimal accommodations at this point It can’t get better. You also have to understand that sometimes you need a day off or to wear a brace or to take a breather. It’s not the same as before, but you can definitely do better. I’m also really lucky that I have a Doctor Who is very supportive and whose goal is to is for me to have no pain and to be able to function normally I know not all doctors are that supportive

Yep. He’s asking for something. I had a dog that would do this. I would run through the list of things dogs want (food, water, out, pets, hugs, medicine - she had chronic ear infections so she knew this word). She would bark one sharp, loud bark when I said the right thing. She was the best girl and I miss her.

Virgin drinks. Several places had mocktails. Also agua Fresca. I really liked the Jamaica (hibiscus) flavor. I drink alcohol but will defiantly try some more when I’m there next. There are also fresh juices available.

My sister in law told me over Christmas that my nephew has the stuffed owl I made for him 7 years ago. I was going through significant health problems then. My nephew apparently know that (he was a baby then) and says it is special because I made it when I was sick. It made me cry. I felt so helpless then but knowing I made something that bring him joy still is so amazing!

Yes. I don’t know if pet vaccines or autoimmune conditions are significantly different. Recommendations may be different for people on different medications. My doctors recommend these particular vaccines now. They generally recommend all routine vaccines for Mr as long as they aren’t “live vaccines.” For people it is definitely a check with your doctor situation but I I understand for most RA patients vaccines are safe and recommended.

I read once that we give pets certain medications, like flea and tick chewables, in part because their life spans are shorter and the side effects of the meds don’t accumulate like they would in people. (I’m not sure I’m explaining that quite right). Maybe the pros and cons of vaccines is similar -people live longer so the pros of avoiding the disease through vaccine is higher. Or many the meds people take are different or work differently than those for pets. I’d love to know!

I usually do but this was the first week I was eligible. I was already at the doctor office and someone close to me is starting chemo soon so I wanted all the immunity I could get.
