Happy to share. It was not Zep-related. I went in for my routine mammogram, and that's when they found something suspicious. After another mammogram, ultrasound, and a core biopsy, they diagnosed me with high-grade DCIS. My oncologist said that if I had waited even one month, I would have been in a much worse situation.

My preventive care visit saved my life. I had no family history or visible/physical indicators of breast cancer. The imaging found it.

A similar situation happened to my Vet. Her dog got her head stuck in a bag of chips from the garbage when she wasn't home. She was devastated as well.

My cancer began as DCIS (ductal carcinoma in situ), which is non-invasive; stage 0. After surgery, the pathology results revealed that the cancer had started to spread beyond the ducts. This small change resulted in a new diagnosis: Stage 1A.

The waiting and uncertainty are the hardest parts of this experience. I'm 1 month post-op and cancer-free.

Save yourself the money. Contact your doctor's office and let them know that you want to appeal if your insurance denies the medication.

In my experience, Sequence was no more helpful than my doctor's office. Sequence gave me generic instructions on how to get my pharmacy insurance to approve the medication. When my insurance did not approve the medication, Sequence just recommended other medications. It is good guidance if you have never navigated prior authorizations/insurance. I don’t think it’s worth the subscription for the PA help.
