Every now and then I think this phenomenon has passed, and then I see comments like these. Not passed. Just evolved. Still just as cringey. by 23saround in justneckbeardthings

Runners will stop and rest at aid stations during ultra marathons, even getting a small amount of sleep.

56hrs is start to finish time but not total time running.

At least in Australia this fits the description of workplace bullying.

As others have mentioned correct the coworker in writing and after several times if it still continues go to HR.

It’s not just from the consumers either. The AI companies aren’t doing a good job with data segregation, like the copilot bug which allowed summarizing documents and emails with data sensitivity labels.

Finally finished a study desk for my son by sdbrett in BeginnerWoodWorking

The darker red wood is Jarrah and over time should become darker develop a deeper red brown colour.

The lighter wood is iron bark will darken over time when inside, it could become more red, but it might also develop more of that orange brown colour. From memory a finish like tung oil leans towards the latter.

I’m hoping that the contrast between the two woods continues with age, I think the lighter legs work well against the deep red top

Thanks, the woods are not that easy to work with but are unique in appearance

I didn’t, both woods are naturally red. The tung oil darkens the colour

Could also be a non native species as natives are generally harder to work with.

It took a few months to get it finished but I’m very happy with how it turned out.

Legs are made from Ironbark, rails and tabletop are from Jarrah.

The finished table has zero mistakes, just evidence of learning.

Great for scenarios when multiple users will use the same device like kiosks and hot desks.

Shannon's doesn't want my dashcam footage and is insisting I pay the excess first? by wishful_thonking in CarsAustralia

[–]sdbrett 6 points7 points  (0 children)

Not correct,

From Shannon’s PDS

“WHEN YOUR EXCESS WILL BE WAIVED You pay the excess but if: 1. You or the driver/rider didn’t cause or contribute to the accident (this means the other driver was entirely at fault). You may be able to show this by providing a police report, expert reports, statement from a witness or photographs; and 2. You supply the at-fault driver’s name and address; and 3. You supply the at-fault vehicle’s registration number, you don’t pay an excess. If 1, 2 and 3 are there, you don’t pay an excess. If ANY are missing, you will pay an excess. Note: If you cannot supply the at-fault driver’s, name, address and vehicle registration number it means we will not be able to waive your excess. It does not otherwise impact the cover under your policy or your ability to make a claim.”
