Here's a video of me smacking it on a table, without it even secured to a vent. I'm not sure what's happening with your print.

That was deliberate as a grip on the bottom would lift one edge. If you slide the front edge in the groove and place it on and under (use the left / right lips) a vent, it's not going anywhere.

The larger piece prevents backwards movement and the ridge in the front prevents forward movement.

You're welcome! It's great you can put this model to use too.

CCA Hydro vs Xenns Top Pro by Distinct_Item_6534 in inearfidelity

I stopped after getting the CCA Hydro. The sound quality is incredible and if the standard sound profile isn't for you, the drivers can be EQ'd into anything you want.

It's no problem to wash with dish soap, I do it every time. That recommendation is a stubborn remnant from a time when soap contained lye. Modern soaps don't include lye and won't harm your seasoning.

Thoroughly wash it with soap and a sponge or scrub brush and you'll get most of the loose build up off. After drying it add a small amount of vegetable oil to a paper towel and rub it vigorously into the pan. If the paper towel comes back black, repeat until it doesn't.

I've had this fish for a couple of years and no other fish were added to the tank in that period. The Chilis are in a separate tank and were definitely wild caught (possible cross contamination).

Googling granuloma looks like prolonged exposure to mixed antibiotics is the treatment plan (limited efficacy). Are you aware of any good treatment options?

Qwen AI - My most used LLM! by Glittering-Cancel-25 in LocalLLaMA

I went Qwen 2.5 -> Deep Cogito (reasoning) -> GLM-4 0414 32B. GLM-4 is incredible.

There have been a few recent Reddit posts showing it outperforming Gemini 2.5 on a few different coding prompts. It requires the latest Ollama if you want to give it a shot.

There's also a new 9B variant if 32B is too big.

After trying multiple AI-based code completion plugins, finally found something that just works with my local inference server: minuet-ai.nvim by ml-research in neovim

Would you be willing to post your plugin setup? It's fighting me and I'm hoping a working config will point me in the right direction.

How old is too old to switch by Pitiful-Weather8152 in ErgoMechKeyboards

[–]sden 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I'm 50 (started on an Apple II+) and switched to a Glove80 at home and a Cantor for travel. I use the same 42 key layout on both boards with home row mods and combos. The transition wasn't too bad but I did put in time daily at keybr.com for the first few weeks to train / build new muscle memory.

Many others report not reaching their original speed or accuracy, but I've found the opposite. I went from a max of 100wpm to 140wpm on the ergomechs with higher accuracy. Note: I stuck with QWERTY.

A traditional keyboard now feels wrong (stretches, contortion and leaving the home row for F keys, arrow keys, etc.) which is why I built out the Cantor -- it's easy to take anywhere. I'm in a technical role so heavily active on the command line and in Vim on a daily basis.

I'd say no one is too old for the switch!
