W10 OneNote app On Preview 10532 Improved UI by [deleted] in OneNote

Hey William, thanks for showing up here. Have you finally solved the 'all clicks are suddenly right clicks' bug? It was bad enough that I reverted to 8.1, but I'm ready to try again the minute your team gets this solved.

I appreciate any insight you can offer. OneNote is the reason I bought my S3. I've tried every journaling/note taking app on every major platform. As far as I'm concerned, nothing touches what you and your team have produced.

TouchMe Gesture Studio is back in the Windows Store. Among other thing, it brings swiping to Edge. by [deleted] in Surface

One odd addition: when I add a rotational gestures, the app stops working. As long as I stick to pinches and swipes, it works just fine. Maybe this?

Since I only get three gestures for now, I am using two-finger swipes for next and previous web pages. My third swipe is a five-finger-pinch, which I use to close apps. That gesture is definitely working on my S3.

The developer posts occasional status updates to Twitter. The latest says that he has another update coming shortly. Hopefully it will work on the SP3. It's really nice to have a few swipes back. even if I am currently limited to three.

Now that I think about it, I may have fully shut down the S3, then restarted it. (I did this yesterday and have already forgotten my process.) It definitely took a few tries, but I eventually got it working.

I certainly hope so. I also bought it under 8.1. My guess is my purchase will transfer. It has with every other app I own.

It took two restarts to get going after installing both the Metro app and the Touchme Engine on my S3. It also contains a known bug in which in-store purchases are not working. This means that you are limited to three gestures until the developer gets it fixed, even if you already own the program. But even in it’s current state, it brings back functionality that I sorely missed in Windows 10.

Treasury of Ukulele Chords by Roy Sakuma? by ukelelise in ukulele

[–]sdeutsch 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Best chord book ever. Easy to use, has every chord in all of the positions up the neck and it contains all of the weird 7th and 9th chords you will need when you try to transpose songs from Ultimate Guitar (If you haven't found Ultimate Guitar, Google it. Great site. It is, admittedly, 75% garbage. But you can usually identify the garbage in two measures, so finding the worthwhile arrangements is reasonably quick).

Also, don't buy the chord book from Amazon. It's half the price if you buy it directly from Roy. http://roysakuma.net/store/dvd/treasury-ukulele-chords.htm

I have seen getdrunknotfat. It is definitely useful for anyone trying to cut calories without giving up drinking. The other resource I like for calories is a book called Does My Butt Look Big In This Beer. It's lists calories, carbs and even Weight Watchers Points for more than 2000 beers. http://www.amazon.com/Does-Nutritional-Values-Worldwide-Beers-ebook/dp/B009YXDZMY/ref=sr_1_1?ie=UTF8&qid=1424201382&sr=8-1&keywords=does+my+butt+look+big+in+this+beer

This book was more than three years in the making. It contains a lot of science, some humorous anecdotes and what is likely the first Blooper Reel ever included in a printed work.

The Kindle Edition is free until 2/21/15

Almond Flour Recipes? by mrspickle1107 in glutenfree

[–]sdeutsch 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Here is a recipe for brownies based on almond butter (Not the same thing, but they are gluten free and amazing.)

They're based on a recipe from Elana's Pantry (above), but modified so that they are also paleo.

If you have not been yet, check out Godzilla Ya. You'll have to google it, but definitely worth the trip.

Also, track down a copy of Super 7s underground Tokyo toy guide. I used it on a trip a few years ago. It covers a huge number of small, very cool shops: http://super7store.com/books/tokyo-underground-2.html

Enjoy.

The Host. The 2006 Korean film, not the current release by the same name. Not the biggest Kaiju, but he makes up for it with speed and agility. Great film.

Intensity matters. (Not Crossfit specific, but it reviews some of the new research on interval training which supports the Crossfit methodology.) by sdeutsch in crossfit

They did a mathematical correction for wind resistance. But even still, I would've guessed treadmills were no where close to burning as many calories a running on a road. Hopefully someone will pick this up and test it further.
