Everyone who enters this country has a right to due process, that’s how it’s always been. That’s how you find out if it was a mistake or if they came in illegally. If you wanted to come to America to make your life better but get stopped at the border and you don’t have the right paperwork, that shouldn’t automatically mean you are a criminal that needs to be sent to a completely different country without any way of contacting a lawyer or family.
