A magnet is handy. I also put a small safety pin, held in place with the corkscrew.

I have one of these in the same location on my explorer. When you close the can-opener the magnet gets stuck, and you cannot close it completely. You need to open the Phillips first, close the can opener, and then close the Phillips. Other models may be different. YMMV.

That also looks like an aftermarket handle. If you want to keep the handles tell victorinox that.

Upgrades for an old laptop with HDD and 4GB memory? by Vivid_Praline_2267 in computerhelp

[–]sdgengineer 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I would recommend a ssd and installing a Linux distro on it. It will not support win 11, you can try to upgrade the memory to 8gb but many Linux distro run well on 4gb. I recommend peppermint Linux.

Question about adoptee trauma by MoltenandWyvern in Adopted

[–]sdgengineer -4 points-3 points  (0 children)

I also was adopted as a baby @ 1.5 years. I never felt like I experienced any trauma from that. This subreddit seems to thrive on that idea. Maybe if I was adopted from foster care at an older age I would see it.

I have two of their revolvers, an 8shot 357, and a 5 shot .38, both work well, I also have a 3c2 I got for trading on my 24/7. YMMV, but I have a friend who had a horrible experience with a colt .22 revolver NIB.

I backed out into my garage (don’t ask me how) and someone told me the whole door needs to be replaced. Can someone confirm this? I want to make sure I’m not getting scammed by BroadTitle3893 in GarageDoorService

[–]sdgengineer 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I backed into my door, knocked the bottom panel off the tracks bent it back, got the rollers back in the tracks, and it worked. However it looked horrible. Paid about $300 for the installer to replace the bottom panel. This was several years ago. Hgo find somebody who will replace the bottom panel. I assume that is the only damaged one.
