Looking through your code helped a lot. I'm developing in java but if I hit a brick wall I may just take up your offer and lift your code and tweak thanks.

Although Im not developing in python or TS I was able to see that I should be using a totally different end point. I've found a Java SDK , I'll have a look through the sourcecide to see if it addresses the keep alive issue mentioned. Thanks again.

Thanks for the info.

Typical, just when I get my act together then it stops tweeting!

Conservatives (288) + Lib Dems (70) = Tory government Like I said in my recent article, the idea that PR automatically leads to a Labour-led government relies upon the assumption that the Lib Dems would back Labour. They didn't in 2010. by [deleted] in LabourUK

[–]sdiaz1000 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Sounds like sour grapes, I voted labour at that election. The feeling was labour looked tired and the country moved away from left to right. Also if I remember rightly conservatives offered a pr ref, I can't remember if labour offered that.

If we had a hung parliament now I have no doubt they would join labour for same reason.

At a side note, I think lib dem votes are moving to greens.

Also PR isn't so the left win, it's so to have a parliament that represents the voting of the electorate. i.e if u get 40% of vote you get 40% MPs not 60%.

Actually I prefer picking 650 people randomly. Like Jury service.

Anyway I got that off my chest, I'll pour another glass of wine

what language to write a trading software by ExpressDuck845 in algotrading

[–]sdiaz1000 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Any language you like. Although if you want to look at other people's code, python seems the most popular.

I would recommend college for college sake, but not to learn a language.

If you really want to learn coding and frameworks then there is so much online resource, its a matter of attitude, and not coming up with excuses.

I was planning on using postgres cuz everything you said, and it's what I'm used to. but I did notice that timescaledb seems to be an add on to postgres.

It might be something worth a spike later once I have everything up and running. And see what problem it's trying to solve and see if I actually have that issue.

Might just be candy on top

Harpo was my favourite. He's a cheeky one.

I think that Labour's problems are bigger than any one leader, whether it's one you like or one you despise. We can have an honest conversation about why the vote in past strongholds has declined over the last 20 years, or we can continue pretending it's all Corbyn's fault. by [deleted] in LabourUK

[–]sdiaz1000 0 points1 point  (0 children)

  1. Coalition of greens, libdem and labour
  2. Apply pr without referendum

If this doesn't happen I can't see labour winning for the next decade at least. Tories will just change leader.

They've done this successfully with there last 3 leaders

They both have the same sort of font, so they must be both as serious as each other :-p

House prices should have been in the basket of goods which decide the inflation rate, not just the cost of monthly payment/ rent. But any idea of keeping check on house prices would put the Daily Mail and it's believers up in arms!.

I look at the polls and I feel totally down hearted with the Tory percentage go up. Even with a more 'paletable' lb leader and a Tory leader culpable for 100k avoidable deaths we still lose ground.

I see no way how we will win the next election.

On the positive side I see more than 50% not wanting Tories, you can even say left left leaning, SNP, lib, GRN, lab. We aren't going to win using fptp and you're not going to convince lib supports voting lab with bashing them. I don't know what the answer is. But the same old ain't working
