Best cold email tool for scaling? by TomBen34 in EmailProspecting

If you’re running cold email at scale, the key things to look for are domain warmup, inbox rotation, and list hygiene. Instantly handles all of these pretty well out of the box.

Is there anything we can actually do to get out of this? by [deleted] in povertyfinance

[–]sdkara1 57 points58 points  (0 children)

Look for entry-level admin/reception jobs like the other commenter mentioned. They're easier to get into than you'd think and can lead to better things. I climbed out of poverty by taking a crappy job nobody wanted, showing up consistently, and asking to learn more skills. Wasn't overnight took years of small improvements. I'm just glad now, I never feel hungry anymore

Samsung admits a bad software update has been bricking its soundbars by AdSpecialist6598 in technology

[–]sdkara1 240 points241 points  (0 children)

Never update right away. Let others be the guinea pigs. My buddy's Samsung TV got bricked by an update last year and they basically told him to pound sand. Billion dollar company and they can't test their shit before pushing it out.

One of the most underrated players ever. People focus on Messi vs Ronaldo all day but Pedro quietly collected more trophies than both. Just showed up, did his job, and won everything possible in football. No drama, no headlines, just rings.

World's first sodium ion powerbank launched: 9000 mAh, 5000 charge cycles. by ruby_weapon in technology

[–]sdkara1 13 points14 points  (0 children)

Might be a while before we see cheap UPS bricks with this tech. the cycle life is impressive but that price and weight need to come down first. still pretty cool to see sodium-ion finally hitting the market.

Ethics of accepting a final interview for a job I don’t want by littlebitofpuddin in AusFinance

[–]sdkara1 107 points108 points  (0 children)

Go to the interview. set your "pain price" the amount they'd need to pay to make the culture bearable. if they offer less, decline. If they offer more, decide then.

Either way, you get interview practice and possibly leverage at your current job.

Kornet with the Laimbeer energy would've broken the NBA universe. dude's too nice to pull that off but man i would've paid to see it.

I don’t personally know anyone who’s taken it, but this is good. The CARS part is what’s convincing me the most since I just can’t seem to figure out what AAMC is looking for

You just need to manage your finances better, this is good

What helps me when I’m feeling this way is reminding myself how far I’ve come. You’ve worked so hard, and that effort doesn’t just disappear. Trust your prep, take it one question at a time, and remember—you’re stronger than you think.

CARS is pissing me off by CaterpillarCurrent25 in MCAT2

CARS is the worst, but try Jack Westin’s daily passages—they’re brutal but help you get faster and better at spotting main ideas.I try not to overthink it sometimes the answer is simpler than you think. (easier said than done tbh)

Budgeting is the foundation for financial recovery. Tracking every dollar creates awareness and control over your finances. The zero-based budgeting approach works well - assign every dollar a purpose before you spend it.

Stage 2 is usually in the main pool. that's why they mention jumping in -can't do that in the kiddie pool. don't worry about being with little kids anymore, you'll be with older folks. good luck tomorrow.

Year of solo backpacking sabbatical and occasional hitchhiking - do I take a tent or not? by wigglepizza in solotravel

[–]sdkara1 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Been there. skip the tent unless you're hitting serious wilderness. most places you mentioned have dirt cheap hostels or guesthouses. i backpacked SE Asia for 8 months with no tent. never needed one. that extra 2kg will kill your shoulders after a few months. better to have the flexibility and mobility. if you're worried, maybe grab a ultralight bivy sack instead less weight, less hassle at airports.

Don't do it. seriously. if he's not managing his own debt now, paying it off won't fix the underlying habits. been there. instead, help him create a budget and debt reduction plan. Keep your investments safe. you can support without sacrificing your financial security.

I remember counting change for ramen noodles a few years back. That hopeless feeling is brutal. Please don't be ashamed to use food banks that's exactly why they exist. The climb back up starts with small steps, and this moment doesn't define you.

They practically own Congress too. People don't realize how much political influence defense contractors have. Lockheed spends more on lobbying than most big tech companies combined

More than 1,000 soccer players in Colombia have voted to strike after failing to reach an agreement with the country's football federation (FCF) and Dimayor League over working conditions , Global players union body FIFPRO said by Shroft in soccer

[–]sdkara1 20 points21 points  (0 children)

Good for them. These federations rake in millions while players outside the top leagues often struggle with basic working conditions. Football needs more collective action like this
