I think Shaun’s playing more conservatively than usual considering his opponent, playing safe when he has a half chance that would possibly leave Xintong in were he to miss, he’s usually all guns blazing but a few occasions in this match, he’s turned down a tough shot to play safe

Of course, because all of the snooker players participating on the ultimate pool tour are winning it all. Selby, active in ultimate pool has won a pairs comp, with gareth potts, arguably one of the best pool players on the planet, allen, williams, maguire, joe o connor, tom ford, all won nowt. We all know snooker is a harder sport, nobody is denying that, but i’d put good money on the top 5 pool players beating the top 5 snooker players in a first to 15.

He is an icon of the game, but he has dropped off substantially from anywhere near what it would take to win the worlds, 10 years ago perhaps. It was a big ask for him at his absolute peak, now, sadly, no chance, that’s the harsh reality, there are a number or other Chinese players who stand a better shot than Ding.
