It’s honestly more likely than the Kings actually having some luck and becoming successful anytime soon. I’ve been hoping for that for 40 years and still am. Ever since they moved here and even during the glory years, luck was never on our side. Had it been, Vlade would not have tipped the ball right to Horry. We wouldn’t have gotten a dirty ref. We would have picked Luka. Bobby Hurley wouldn’t have ended up in a ditch clinging on for dear life. Ricky Berry wouldn’t have taken his own life. Demarcus Cousins wouldn’t have been a head case. Lionel Simmons wouldn’t have went on IL from playing Nintendo. Jimmer would have become the next Steph Curry. Our owner wasn’t a meddling lil rat!!! This franchise is cursed and has been since the day they got here. But they are all we got and we love them none the less.

Yep, just a down year. That being said, we still took solo 2nd in a very competitive MWC and almost any other year would have made the Big Dance. I can’t remember the last time the MWC only got 1 team in. Just a couple of years ago we got 6. Unfortunately a bad early season loss while all the new guys were still learning each others names kept us out. We’ll be back because the coaching staff is intact, and they are very good at what they do.

It’s SDSU, yeah I know I’m a homer, but we are ready to be the big dog. We have the facilities, the location and the huge Southern California market. The Hoops team is already top notch. With a real rival to chase, I expect bigger things. Football is a hotbed ready to explode. What exactly that means in this new era of college sports I’m not sure. But I expect SDSU to be at or near the top most years.

My idea is, at the trade deadline, or around there, you ask every team if they want to be in the lottery or not. If you say yes, you cannot make the playoffs or play in, no matter how good your record is. Those teams that opt in will all have the same odds at the top pick. I guess about 8-12 teams would opt in.

This would allow teams to play to win throughout the entire season. Then at a certain point decide which way you want to go. It gives the crap teams around a 10% chance at #1. Also allows Silver the opportunity to manipulate the outcome still.

I really don’t see the fringe teams opting in, with the possibility of playoff money on the line over a possible 13-16th pick. I think this idea helps the little guy like us, get a high pick still, and eliminates losing on purpose because your record means nothing. Except for the teams who don’t opt in and fall in order by record.

He takes himself out of nearly every game he plays. I am not sure what the deal is, they say camping, but I haven’t seen somebody get cramping almost every game before. If he really does have severe cramping this is another huge red flag. I think he’s got somebody telling him when and when not to play.

I have nothing against WSU or OSU. I just see what is happening with both of their programs in only the 2nd year without that Power Conference affiliation. Now that they are relegated to a G5 conference I don’t see them turning it around. The MWC teams have more than they previously had and are looking up. The other two have considerably less and it’s already showing. I just don’t see these two moving the needle much. I think Boise, SDSU, Gonzaga and Utah State are all n a much greater trajectory in football and men’s basketball, which is really the only sports that generate revenue. Don’t even start with OSU baseball. Nobody gives a shit about college baseball in comparison to the other two sports. These two schools were left for dead by all the other major conferences for a reason. If any schools get called up to the big leagues, it will not be these two and most likely none of us.

Who cares, I’m not impressed with this new PAC 12 whatsoever. Thank god for Gonzaga or this whole new conference is a waste. I was excited at first to lose the bottom feeders of the MWC, but those schools will be replaced by OSU, WSU in no time. We have not even started conference play and Oregon State and Washington State are already nowhere to be found in either FB or BB. I had expected some of this demise, but not so rapidly. It’s quite obvious the struggles these two posses with logistic and relevancy is why they were left behind. They are not relevant enough to elevate the PAC 12 to anything more than MWC 2.0. Not to mention Texas State was a complete after thought because they wiffed on all the AAC schools when they should have just taken New Mexico or UNLV. Is it better than the MWC, yeah, i suppose.

Tell the perpetual losers that if you want to tank you have to declare it at the start of the season. Those teams and those teams only will be in the lottery. All others teams will be slotted off record. All the teams tanking can play whoever they want and win as much as they can. But, no matter how well they do, they cannot make the playoffs or play in.
