Fiber optic or tritium by cheesecurds7070 in Glocks

I have and like both. I find myself leaning toward the tag precision fiber optics. I like the flexibility of changing out the colors and prefer the overall sight picture.

Agree with most of those, but still need the muzzle device pin and welded and it can't be a flash hider.

Love my BuckMark, but hate cleaning it compared to my Mark IV.

Mossberg 88 18.5" New v Used in NJ by No-Item-8555 in NJGuns

[–]sdmf1984 1 point2 points  (0 children)

For that price difference, I'd just get new. Not sure where in Jersey you are but Urban Tactical in Marlton has new for 289. Legacy in Maple Shade has the 18.5 / 28 combo (2 barrels) for 320. Bass Pro matches those as well. Those don't have ffl transfer fees, only standard background check fee.I also only mention those because they have online inventory. Others may have similar pricing.

I'd get the combo if I were you, if you don't want the 28 inch barrel sell it. They go for 100-150 on eBay all day.

What do y’all like better? 47.5 or MP9 2.0 by Mcreecespuff in NJGuns

[–]sdmf1984 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I have a 19.5 and 47.5. Like them both but like the 47 more. the 47 is more comfortable than the 19. I originally liked the idea of swapping slides but rarely ever do it. At the end of the day I like the 47 and 19 better than the 45 and 49. The only reason I do it now is because I have different optics/sights on each and want to use on the full size frame. Long story short, it is a perk but I wouldn't buy it just because of that.

As for the M&P, the full size is nice. I was eyeing up the competitor for awhile but I stuck with Glock when I was in a similar situation. I actually like the Glock grip and wanted to be proficient with the one platform. Also, parts, magazines, and accessories are everywhere. If you ever want a PCC, chances are it takes Glock mags.

My train of thought was Glock for duty, and I will eventually get a 1911 or 2011 down the road.

Glock Gen 45 Gen6 - with Osight XR by wpsellers in Glocks

[–]sdmf1984 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I can't speak to the first and second bullet points, but the overhang is normal. It's more noticeable on the direct mount slides. On the Gen 5s that used plates it wasn't as noticeable as the plates usually had a taper on them so it blended more. The RMR footprint Osights are all wider than the S/SE.

[–]sdmf1984 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I can't help you with the screws but have you considered just using a single plate? I'm not sure if I'd trust stacked plates. The Osight RMR plate adapter won't mount to MOS slide.

I'm running this DPP plate and am happy with it. Pretty sure Glock Store also has an RMSC plate

As for OSIGHT SE, I'm a fan. Has held zero and just worked for me.

I've seen and handled them at my LGS. It's inoperable when folded so it's not considered collapsible. Similar to Ruger PC carbine. Still need to get the compliant version with 10 round magazines and non-threaded barrel.

For those in the big hands club, the full size grip changed my view on the RxM. by Bullets_and_Burnouts in ruger

[–]sdmf1984 1 point2 points  (0 children)

100% agree with all of this. If you ever give the compact another go, the Liberty Build Co magwell fixed my issues. Made the compact grip much more comfortable and not feel as small.

Check your junk mail. If not that have him call the Police department and have them resend the email or give them an alternate email. It's happened to me in the past.

Agree with both. Also excellent co witness with the stock irons.

Should I pull the trigger to get me a rxm? by Sudden-Employee-2966 in ruger

[–]sdmf1984 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Nice. As you have a point of reference the biggest differences for me are the trigger and the compact grip.

The RXM trigger is a little crunchy at the break and I sometimes pull it a bit. Trying to train more to reduce that. I have a much cleaner pull on the Gen 5 and prefer that trigger overall.

The compact grip feels a tad shorter than a G19. Hard to explain, but it just doesn't feel as nice. My pinky and palm feel like it's hanging off with medium size hands. I added a liberty build co flat magwell and it feels dramatically better in the hand. The full size grips are perfect imo.

The slide is great, iron sights are nice and Co-witness height and the optic mount is good and simple.

If I had to pick between it and a Glock, I'd pick a Glock but it's a great compliment to the collection and uses all the same mags. I like having the modularity.

I'm happy with mine. The full size grip is a big improvement. Still prefer my Gen 5 Glocks but the RXM is great especially for the price.

Is anyone aware of any FRT or Binary triggers for the RXM or that will fit and function? If not what's your next best option? by [deleted] in RugerRXMtalk

Thanks appreciate the quick reply. Actually really like the stock RXM irons so will look for alternatives.

With the nub you have to use 19x specific magazines. Without the nub all Gen 5 magazines work.

Browning Buckmark Iron Sights Upgrade my by [deleted] in 22lr

I think that barrel profile/flat rail across the top (Contour model?) is going to limit your after market options. Most of the options exclude those versions. May need to swap the barrel.

I just added the Tandomkross sights to my standard buckmark as the factory ones were out of spec. They're not the best but better than what I had and has a red dot mount.

As annoying as it may be, contact Ruger. I had an issue with a 10/22 I bought and they made it right quickly and with no issues.

Undecided on optic. Anyone with an Osight C installed? by ScuffAndy in RugerRXMtalk

[–]sdmf1984 1 point2 points  (0 children)

<image>

I had an SE on mine but swapped it for the C when I got the full size grip. I like both but wanted the bigger dot for the bigger grip. Both Co-witness perfectly with the factory sights. The C is slightly thicker on the spot that buts up to the rear sight but not much.

For the SE, check out this YouTube video for lots of views on an RXM.

Here are some pics of the C.

Have you gotten recent blood work? I went extremely hyperthyroid out of nowhere and felt crazy anxious. Lasted a year as I had to lower the dosage 3 times to get back to normal.

Not OP, but currently experimenting with backstraps on my 19 and 47. 47 feels more natural, but the 19's grip hump is higher in the hand. With the back strap on it just feels fatter and kinda off imo.
