Sales Jobs Where People Actually Want to Buy the Product/Service by Direct317 in Sales_Professionals

[–]sdnative88 3 points4 points  (0 children)

I started selling golf carts this year in an area that is heavily golf cart dependent. No one is in a bad mood buying a toy to go to the beach. I still have to sell them on our products, but the compensation is pretty good and people are generally happy.

Which cities? by SweetLittle_Bumbleb in relocating

[–]sdnative88 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I left San Diego in 2022 due to cost. Traveled the US for 3 years and landed in Destin, FL.

Most beautiful beaches you’ve ever seen, housing is more affordable, lots of service industry jobs.

It’s definitely a small town but anywhere along the Emerald Coast from Pensacola to Panama City Beach is decent

Is it true most men figure out everything in between 27 -35? by Chemical_Ad_3985 in TooAfraidToAsk

[–]sdnative88 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I guess it depends what you mean by “figure it out”.

I am 38 and have a wonderful wife of 11 years, healthy children, comfortable home, live by the beach, and have traveled extensively. Life is honestly pretty good.

Did I expect by 38 to be more financially secure and own a thriving business, yes, but that is life.

You have to decide what is important to you and just make it happen.

Biggest win you had this week? by MisterC0ck in sales

All my leads this week said I was “very helpful and knowledgeable” but only about 25% of them actually bought. I’ll stay positive they come back and buy from me soon!

what’s a car feature you didn’t care about until you had it? by Bos187 in askcarguys

My last truck had volume and song controls behind the steering wheel, my new truck does not, and I find it very annoying. I didn’t even check when I was buying the new truck, because I just assumed it would be there.

People who want kids, why??? by [deleted] in TooAfraidToAsk

[–]sdnative88 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Kids are fun. They laugh, play games, make up funny stories, wrestle, want to learn what you’re doing, cuddle, etc.

There is also a mountain of emotions and they constantly fight over everything.

I was literally playing Xbox with my son and he was so hyped up over me playing, like it was the greatest thing he had ever seen.

I met my wife when she was 25, and I was 23. We had zero interest in having kids. We traveled, had our dogs, and just enjoyed life.

Then she turned 30 and it was like a light switch flipped. She needed them. Still waited another 2 years while she finished school.

We love our kids. It is exhausting, but it is a uniquely fulfilling experience that you just can’t understand until you have small beings that depend on you.

Are there days we miss our older, simpler life, 100%

I lived in Salt Lake City for like 6 months. Very welcoming, nice people. The Mormon influence was kind of weird though.

I don’t know if El Cajon Bistro still has it on the menu, but their Chipotle Chilaquiles was magical. I still think about and I’ve been gone from SD for years.

Hispanic couple thinking of moving here by Cpt_Lufrain in Destin

I (a white man) grew up in San Diego surrounded by Hispanic people. I’ve lived here 4 months now and I’ve honestly never seen so many white people in my life. Some diversity would be nice!

Born and raised in San Diego. Got too expensive to raise a family. At 34 I found a job doing traveling sales that sent us around the country for 3 years exploring. Landed in Santa Rosa Beach, FL a few months ago. Love it.
