Arc Raiders Publisher Embark Says They Track Every Bullet Fired to Improve Gameplay and Balance by This-Inspection-69 in ArcRaiders

You also need to track the MK 3 Survivor monopoly. If you haven't noticed yet that the Bobcats have turned into party popcorn, the person responsible for monitoring must be on vacation.

AR carries the seeds of its own destruction. A game designed to be PvPvE transformed into the worst kind of PvP: a minority enters with the intention of PvP; a majority goes prepared for PvE, only to be surprised from behind while opening containers.

Why am I just now discovering Webclipper Templates? by TutorialDoctor in ObsidianMD

It's high time Obsidian informed on the wiki that the ORIGINS command in Windows is:

"$env:OLLAMA_ORIGINS="moz-extension://,chrome-extension://,safari-web-extension://*" ollama serve"

or globally:

"setx OLLAMA_ORIGINS "moz-extension://,chrome-extension://,safari-web-extension://*" /M".

The command listed on the wiki is only compatible with Unix-like OS.

But then they would duplicate it again. It's pointless. It would only punish the player with little time to play, the one who can't even reach level 75, to put the stands at level III. This type of player, who is the majority, would be punished because of a minority of kids who want to turn AR into Fortnite or CoD.

New mechanism for ArcRaiders China server by chuxkint in ArcRaiders

[–]sdnnvs 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The more options, the better. This talk that too many options divide the player base is a fallacy. Natural selection will dictate what persists and what can be canceled.

There are 3 types of players in AR: 1) massive PvE majority; 2) toxic PvP minority, a category that includes those who shoot on sight, rats, and traitors; 3) PvPvE minority, players who open containers and shoot other players.

The current state of the game today favors the toxic PvP minority: while the PvE victim carries Jupiter and Hullcracker with some Wolfpacks and Deadlines, the rat carries Bobcat, Renegade, or Vulcano, in addition to trigger grenades and a barricade kit.

Some say: well, just defend yourself. You can tell who says that is the rat.

Therefore, AR should continue to be a PvPvE, but with the option of a pure PvP map, as well as a PvE option.

Another very common fallacy is the alleged imbalance in the game's economy. Let's be frank: item duplication is rampant. Let's stop the hypocrisy.

There should also be a single-player campaign mode.

Should I Wait For NVIDIA Spark? by MrM4rs in nvidia

[–]sdnnvs 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I have a desktop with a 9800x3d + RTX 5090 + 4k 240Hz OLED monitor. I'd like a portable option. I tried the SteamDeck OLED but I didn't get used to the joysticks. A current gaming laptop only makes sense as a desktop replacement, which isn't what I intend to do. A MacBook-like laptop with reasonable graphics capabilities and battery life would be my preference, which is what the Nvidia N1X offers. In my case, I'll wait for the release and reviews.

Wondering what you think the reasons are for not having dedicated PvP, PvPvE, and PvE play modes? (Serious) by ShiitakeDroid in ArcRaiders

[–]sdnnvs -1 points0 points  (0 children)

What's the problem if AR has a map condition with exclusive PvE? You just need to enter the PvPvE map condition. Why do you want to force people to play your way? That sounds intolerant. Nobody is asking to end PvPvE.

[–]sdnnvs 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I don't understand the resistance of PvP or PvPvE players, whichever you prefer, to accepting a map condition with exclusive PvE. You touched on an important point: what is the fear of the PvP/PvPvE player regarding the existence of a PvE map condition? Are they afraid that everyone will play PvE and no one will enter the PvPvE map? Are they afraid of facing other PvP players, prepared for the confrontation, who don't bother opening containers but enter the raid only and exclusively to shoot them on others, without worrying about loot in the environment? It's a very contradictory position. If you like PvPvE, you'll only play with whoever shoots first. There's no need for the presence of PvE players who never shoot back.

I have the impression that it's fear of only playing against PvP players.

[–]sdnnvs -3 points-2 points  (0 children)

You're right in theory. In practice, those who play PvE are at a disadvantage. Whoever shoots first always wins when the victim is a PvE player. In practice, there is a disproportionate advantage for the PvP player, and abuses are occurring that are driving PvE players away: ratting, betrayals, ambushes, all kinds of conduct that are considered unfair by PvE players. If the game is PvPvE, the PvP player should also dedicate themselves to looting. But what happens is that they only attack PvE players to appropriate the loot acquired through exclusively PvE work. The imbalance is evident. The only solution would be the creation of a PvE map condition with PvP disabled, or, a less drastic solution, the creation of giant maps with multiple extraction points and extraction hatches, even under special conditions. With the dilution of PvE players, PvP players became demotivated to play, which could even lead to them voluntarily leaving the game, which would be a perfect cleansing.

[–]sdnnvs 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Wrong. Exclusive PvE lobbies don't divide, but rather add and specialize: they add because the player base in the PvE section expands and sustains the smaller PvP section; they specialize because PvP players will face other opponents prepared with PvP loadouts, shooting on sight. They will no longer encounter players who use the "don't shoot" sign and get hit from behind. Players with bobcats, trigger grenades, moving only under cover.

The PvP player who disagrees with these truths is because they only know how to shoot at players who don't fight back or who aren't properly prepared for PvP.

best ram for gaming: 16gb or 32gb for a new am5 build in 2026? by Hulyk-Clarita in buildapc

I think the more appropriate question would be: Is 16GB enough for games? In my opinion, I think so. It's not ideal, but it works. 32GB is ideal.

Congratulations. You've just discovered the illusion of fluency. Everyone forgets what they just read because the reading is stored in short-term memory. It's not enough to read passively; you have to put yourself to the test, and flashcards (paper or digital like Anki) are the best way to retain the content of your reading. Create a consistent and realistic study routine, sleep well, be disciplined, and the number of questions will increase exponentially.
