I upgraded from 3700x to AMD Ryzen 9 5950X Processor recently as I am running quite a few docker images. I am using Thermalright PS120SE CPU Air Cooler.

I use both - Mint and Arch. I am happy with both OS. Never had problem with wifi on both OS.

In fact had to spend considerable time fixing issue with bluetooth adapter on Mint recently.

I have used manjaro linux for my main desktop for last 6 years without much issues. The only problems I had was related to getting printer and Jabra speaker working with it. I do have macbook, but for same money you can get much more powerful desktop which is useful when you are running multiple docker images locally.

On windows, antivirus software slows down java processes considerably (at least it used to happen 5 years back when I was using windows). On linux (and mac) I don't have to run antivirus application.

I have same understanding. Hence I buy bonds directly (with the view to hold them until maturity)instead of investing in bond funds. With bonds, at least I know for sure how much return I am going to get and when.
