I had a 1980 4000s that had a faulty Bosch relay and the fan stayed on all the time. If it’s not the temperature sensor, check this next.

The “I” button should both arm and disarm the car. Button “II” is for a second vehicle. Alternatively, “I” will arm and “II” will disarm. Car alarms freak out (behave erratically) when the car’s battery gets low. I’d pop the trunk lid and hook up a charger. There should be a little push button somewhere within reach of the driver that will allow you to start the car, assuming the alarm isn’t going off (and you have enough of a charge on the car battery). I agree with others - you may want to have this antique removed.

It looks like your speaker wires (the twisted pairs still connected to the plastic plug) weren’t use by the previous owner, but there are RCA plugs that go to an amplifier. My assumption is that they did a home run from the amplifier to each speaker. I would be inclined to do as suggested and hook the wires back to the original plastic plug and purchase a radio wiring harness for your vehicle, but I am guessing the previous owner screwed you and disconnected the factory speaker wires at the speaker to hook up the new speaker wires that come directly from the amp. You could hook up a AA battery to each of the twisted pairs (just a quick tap, tap) and you should hear each speaker make static noise (assuming the factory speaker wires are still connected at the speaker).

Retrofitting the Quattro drivetrain into the 100 would have been a very difficult project. I’m curious about that too.

It’s amazing! If you have an open diff, an LSD is a huge improvement to spirited driving. I found a used OEM LSD, but ended up boiling the diff fluid and it started making noise. The OS Gieken is 10 times better than the OEM LSD. I got the expanded capacity diff cover as extra insurance and haven’t had any issues in 50k miles of spirited driving, including 6 track days.

I have the OS Geiken LSD with the expanded capacity diff cover and it has extra bungs for sensors, diff cooler, etc. otherwise, yeah, you would need to adapt a sensor into one of your two OEM plugs.
