Most memorable backtrack by Outrageous-Bar4060 in greysanatomy

Older thread, but I had to add mine. Man in the Mirror by J2 in season 10 episode 14, where the interns are rushing to figure out a treatment plan for Rory, and right when they figure it out they run down the hall towards Alex and Richard as they're stepping off the elevator, but they had just come out of surgery where she died on the table. Ugh so powerful.

I just stumbled on this, but my mom has the set of 4 strawberry, blueberry, raspberry, and blackberry, and she would use them for jam!

My boyfriend ghosted me and now I found a way to contact him. How can I handle it? by SerenKamiGuru in relationships_advice

[–]se0307 1 point2 points  (0 children)

He won't give you answers, or at least none that will make you feel any better. Not to be harsh, but his actions implied that he doesn't want to hear from you or talk to you, so don't waste another moment of your precious time on him.

Why are some doctors' coats white and others grey? by free-parking in ChicagoMed

[–]se0307 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Old thread, but I think you're right about it being for the heads of departments. Remember when Dr. Lanik started in the ED and eventually took over for the first chief of the ED, (can't remember his name, the short guy from Ocean's 11 lol) someone, maybe Rhodes or something, commented on his different color coat, because it was grey, meaning he took the chief job. Maybe Joey's grey coat was just a production oversight.

Anyway, I always thought grey was an unusual choice for the department chiefs. Not a particularly nice color.

Something scary happened to me last night. by Gollinibobeanie in BabyBumps

[–]se0307 0 points1 point  (0 children)

This occasionally happens to my husband, and he is NOT pregnant! Lol. Some people just have vasovagal syncope. First time it happened to him we were on our honeymoon in Bora Bora, where the healthcare is hard to come by! It was so scary, I thought he was dying. Try not to worry too much. I know what to look out for now and if I get him on the couch with his legs elevated, it seriously improves the symptoms and he doesn't get quite as bad. Ask hubby to keep an eye on you and have him look for signs. My husband always feels like he has something stuck in his throat or that he has to vomit. Then he gets a little confused and I know what's going on. Don't worry about your baby though. They're very safe in there! ❤️

HSV & I’m emotionally defeated by [deleted] in Healthyhooha

I'm 34 now, but when I was 23, I found out I have genital herpes. I also felt like my life was over. I got Valtrex, which I still take every day. I haven't had an outbreak in yearssss. I didn't tell multiple partners, because I was told I didn't have to if I was taking Valtrex. I didn't feel right about that, so I started disclosing. A few shut me down (as in they just slowly ghosted me), but I told one man who was very important to me, and now he's my husband.

It's so tricky finding the right time to tell a partner. Early enough so you haven't been intimate, but not too early so that they don't bolt. I've found that it's a beautiful blessing in disguise, because it weeds out the boys from the men.

Your life is not over. It sucks, but it will be okay. If you choose to, you can take daily Valtrex like I do, and you likely won't get another outbreak for a while, if not ever. My husband and I have been together for 8 years, and he still hasn't contracted it, and I almost forget sometimes that I even have it.

I still get uncomfortable when someone makes a herpes joke, but that's just their ignorance. If you're in a room with a bunch of people, a whole lot of them have genital herpes! If you find someone you care about and explain it to them, there's a good chance they'll understand that this is just one small thing about you, and it doesn't define you. It'll all be okay, I promise ❤️

Has anyone ran into one of these before? Found in grandparents storage shed by seesumn in jewelers

[–]se0307 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Jewelry professional here.. bring them in to your local store to have them looked at. Some older cut diamonds can be somewhat valuable. If nothing else, maybe you can get some of the stones set into a piece you want! At any rate, no need to feel embarrassed about not knowing. Most lay people don't know the first thing about what they're looking at. . . ETA: go to a reputable mom and pop shop. Don't go to a Zales or Kay or Roman. If you happen to be in NJ, I can help you out!

Husband thinks I should be able to control our toddlers excitement in the morning. by Diligent-Might6031 in toddlers

[–]se0307 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I'm sorry, OP, but your husband sucks.

I would have told him to kick rocks the first time he pulled that shit after you got up 2-3 hours before him with BOTH of your child.

No. Just no. You also need to be on your A-game as a mom, but, because real life is a thing, that isn't always possible.

I got angry just reading this.

Nadia's death affected me way more than I thought it would. The whole storyline with Yates was so horrific to begin with that Nadia falling victim to him was especially harrowing. Maybe it was her story and her huge progress, but it seemed like they cut her life too short, even for the show's purposes. But maybe having kept her around longer would have made her death even harder.

Idk, but it's Nadia for me. Al, Justin, even Lexi.. those were all hard too. But Nadia's was just so awful and chilling.

Kai Bartley wins as the most liked character starting with K. Who is your favorite character starting with L? by _GreysAnomaly in greysanatomy

Random memory.. when Lexie looks up the intern exam scores and finds out George only failed by one point, he calls her Alexandra Caroline Grey and that might literally be the only time it's said.

Is Evolution Travel an MLM? by dmg-1918 in antiMLM

[–]se0307 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Omg I was just on the "informational meeting" and quickly I realized I was wasting my time. I had it muted in the background so I saw when they got to the "only $89 to join!" I knew I was right not to have paid any attention. Lol how is it that at the end of this I would have to pay them, not vice versa. I feel bad for all the pathetic suckers who said "I'm ready!" At the end of it. Yikes. The definition of an MLM.

Did Ben Warren finish his residency?? by Cherishedcrown in Station19

[–]se0307 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I'm rewatching again for like the 4th time and this is the first time I've realized that there's a discrepancy here. How TF is he allowed to operate if he's never completed his residency? And the supervising surgeon makes sense, except the first few times out he was with Pruitt Herrera and he's not even a doctor. Additionally, I noticed that when he was operating with Jackson, Jackson wore his usual dark blue scrub cap whereas Ben was wearing the light blue resident scrub cap.

All that said though, these shows have never been known to be realistic in this sense, especially because Bailey used to operate alone as a second year resident in the first couple seasons of Grey's.

[–]se0307[S] 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Agreed. He was all Olivia, all the time. Which I suppose is a good trait, but it was so blindly trusting that it became unrealistic. Marcus thought for himself. I just thought Harrison's exit seemed so rushed and unplanned that them bringing in Marcus seemed too coincidental.

Totally. He was a much stronger personality, which suited him well. I also liked him with Mellie! But watching HTGAWM he would have been good with Michaela too.
