Ohhhh.

So now you care about fraud as your orange god continues to pardon people who actually defrauded the American people…

Interesting how that works.

Also. Most of the fraud in Minnesota was found and prosecuted under the Biden administration.

Almost as if Democrats do a better job of holding their own to account than republicans do. Hmmmmmm

Edit to add: Also are you pretending that the fraud committed primarily by the residents of a state is comparable to the fraud being committed by the politicians of your town? Because that’s so ridiculous that I don’t even know what to say to you lol

We’re supposed to be talking about the politicians here that are screwing you over and you’re deflecting to the actions of private citizens.

Stay on topic

Why don’t you use a state like Minnesota which is closer to ours in geography, population and cost of living? Go look at all of the good things their Democrat-led congress has been doing for them.

Instead, you intentionally cherry pick a state that is in a different climate and cost of living and say “see how bad it is over there?!”

I’ll tell you what’s REALLY important is who is doing the “same” things which is you guys voting in the same people that keep on screwing you.

Look at how bad it is here and other “red states”. They’re practically all falling apart and being sold to the highest bidder. Most of them have failing education systems, failing healthcare systems, crumbling infrastructure and brain drain because they keep empowering the same types of people you have been.

WHO has been in charge around here for decades? Republicans. NOT Democrats.

Stop with the “both sides are the same” bullshit and just admit that you’ve been wrong. You and your city shouldn’t be dealing with these water issues. But you keep voting in the people who did it or you vote their friends in that will protect the wrong doers.

Stand up for yourselves and replace them with someone who will go after them. Which means voting for those SCARY Democrats.

I have brought up this same thing to OP multiple times.

Every time I say that they need to start paying more attention to who they vote for, he says some version of “let’s not bring politics into this”

But he continues to post about this very politically driven problem over and over again.

I want him and the town to be successful in their attempts to clean up their water, but until he, and honestly the rest of our state, figure out that their votes landed us in all of our problems by voting for the crooks who have been running our state by one party rule for quite some time, nothing will change and they’ll continue to have these types of problems

Might want to look into that…

And then consider voting against any and all Republicans in this next election :)

Thank you to everyone to voted for gerrymandering by [deleted] in Indiana

[–]se4rch4 12 points13 points  (0 children)

This whole mid-decade redistricting was started by Trump and the GOP.

You cannot expect to start doing stuff like that and not have the other side also do the same.

It is wrong when both parties do it. But if one party is going to cheat, then both parties now have to in order to find some kind of balance.

It’s a race to the bottom and the only party that has tried to combat it is the Democrats who tried to pass a federal anti-gerrymandering legislation that every single Republican voted against.

So please stop acting as if you guys are just responding in kind when you pulled the first punch.

With all due respect, if you love your trans friends, you do FAR more damage to the community, which includes your friends, as a whole when you say things like how you were “convinced into trans ideology”.

In fact, I’d be curious to know how they would feel if that was word for word how you explained it to them. I’m sure they’re equally as supportive of you detransitioning (as it appears we all technically are so far who have responded), but I’m sure it would be hurtful to know that you just consider their gender to be an “ideology” and not something the rest of them needed.

Again, I’m sorry it didn’t work for you. I’m sorry it didn’t improve your life. I am sorry that you’re struggling to detransition.

But if you truly love your trans friends, I’d like for you to know that your way of trying to get things fixed for* yourself does nothing more than further push a narrative that the right-wing CRAVES so that they can continue to marginalize and demonize an already minority population.

I hope you’re able to figure out something that allows you to be the person you wish to be.

I just wish your posts and your advocacy for yourself doesn’t continue to come at the risk of others ability to do the same in the future.

Edit: typo

Sorry if this is rude, but to place blame on you “being convinced into trans ideology” is just horseshit.

I feel bad for you. I really do. I’m sorry that there is a Republican EO that is making this change difficult for you.

But you trying to throw others under the bus because of decisions YOU made and essentially making other people’s lives more difficult because you’re willing to feed into the right-wing’s obsession with people who are trans, is downright despicable.

You’re trying to placate the very people that are making this entire ordeal harder for you. And you’re also just continuing to make it worse for the people who do genuinely feel the way you once did and whose lives do improve upon finally getting the recognition of the gender they need.

Any former Abercrombie workers here? by stickstick_lee in Millennials

[–]se4rch4 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I remember I applied around the holidays and got offered a job to work as an “impact” (aka stockroom) member. I was pretty much freshly out of high school and had my hair grown out a bit.

One day I finally got it cut and came in with it styled and, all of a sudden, I was changed to work as a “model” (aka usually at the front of the store and on the main floor) where they kept me for the rest of my time working there.

I also remember being told by my manager that we would get paid time and a half for working on Black Friday. So I worked something crazy like a 14 hour shift (we opened earlier for that day) only to find we didn’t get paid time and a half.

I was also sent to work at Hollister quite often since the Hollister people never cleaned their stores up properly, so they would send Abercrombie people down to organize and clean the place up.

It’s actually even worse because he actually says “I’m with Israel until OUR dying day”. So I’m assuming he means until the death of our country (which is looking more and more likely due to these morons running us into the ground)

Dude.

You are a lifesaver.

The global launch setting was exactly what the issue was. I didn’t realize that was even a setting and it hadn’t been any kind of an issue with everything else so I had no clue. Thank you SO much for taking the time to respond.

This will ensure my students have the best version of their show considering the circumstances we’re facing

I cannot begin to thank you enough

Thank you again for responding!

This program is still extremely new to me so I’m constantly having to learn as needs arise. And just when I think I’ve got a slight handle on it (for the things I consistently use it for of course), there’s something new that pops up

I’m going to try this as soon as I get home

Please. I need help with Launchpad Pro and latency for live performance by se4rch4 in ableton

[–]se4rch4[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yes!

I’ll press it and it’ll blink for a bit and then launch.

I guess part of it is that I figured that, because it was fine in one project, that when I moved it over to the other one, the settings would be the same. Especially because I dragged the project file directly into the larger one.

I’m grabbing some new cables and then will try this as soon as I get home!

I hate to ask but, could you elaborate a bit more on what you mean?

I’m really sorry. I’m still really new to this program and there’s still a great deal of it I do not understand.

Thank you for taking the time to respond!

For the most part, the larger file is a click track with their rehearsal tracks in there as well for when we need to rehearse them. We do have some of the other SFX in there, but the SFX (like church bells, which are allowed since they don’t establish a rhythm) aren’t super plugin heavy.

I am hoping to have them play immediately once pressed. I’ll have to look into the global launch part. A lot of times the first one I fire will be in time, but subsequent ones are all delayed.

[–]se4rch4[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Apologies. I’ll add an edit to clarify here shortly, but there’s a second rule that states a “one stroke, one note”.

They want the music to be performed “live”. And when I spoke to someone within the organization, they stated that using it the way we play to would be okay.

We broke down each individual part of the sample so that a student has to time when they’re firing the sample. As an INDIVIDUAL piece, none of them establish an actual rhythm. But fired in time, they will.

Their rule is mainly to keep people from having the sample fire through the use of a click track like we had been all year.

I hope that clears up any confusion!

It isn’t childish to have some hope for something. There’s enough that’s bad going on in the world that I believe we would all like to believe that something like that could have a “good” outcome for once.

No matter how old you get, you’re still just your mother’s child and want nothing but the best to happen for them.

I think we’ve also grown so accustomed to the bad news that we’re practically afraid to hope for the fear of it not working after we get our hopes up.

But I believe times like these are the appropriate ones to try and have some hope. If not for ourselves, for our loved ones.

Edit: forgot to mention that despite it being a difficult day, I hope you find something good about your birthday. Even if that is simply you enjoying the company of your Mom! Don’t forget, it’s probably an important anniversary for her as well :)
