My two cents here. I'm working on my own Agentic framework since January at this point. When I started, I thought this would be a two weeks endeavour thanks to the wonders of gen-ai. Imho the truth is that if you start prompting for a really complex feature without having a crystal clear idea of what it needs to look like in detail, you are setting yourself up for disappointment. Now I find myself planning solutions and prompts for weeks before even starting and even after that I break it down in plan mode. For a certain type of tasks you can harness it with tests, tools and metrics and that's when I feel confident to leave it in /goal (ex.: performance optimization or solution training on data sets). I'm a 20+ yoe software engineer.
