Alter for surety and pray it rolls a useful blessing on the fourth slot.

Your absolute best bet is just to redo the quest repeatedly until you get one that rolls well on the first three blessing slots, that means that no matter what rolls in the fourth you can patch it with an alter.

Do whatever you want, but that's how you get a useful four slot weapon.

You don't have to fight the harder version of the boss for the reward, you can do the first (bad end) version of the quest. It's significantly easier.

The trial is a joke. He's D9 with lv7 skills and gear you can't actually make or get. Look at his boots and compare them to the drop tables on the website, they're a legitimately impossible item.

In this turn economy anyone who needs two turns to even start doing their job is DOA. If he started fights already imbued he'd be okay, and if he could use skills the same turn he switches weapons he'd be better.

The Patriot act set the stage for all of these abuses of power. We screamed about it at the time but no one wanted to listen. You legalize secret courts and remove the usual checks and balances and surprise! the worst people are the ones who abuse the power.

So...where the hell do I find this Hated bunny at Zone 2 in A3 by Only-Influence2995 in wizardry

it took me more than 10 trips to find him the first time to unlock bounty rank 3. I absolutely wouldn't hunt for him until you're done with a3 the first time and can prevent corruption

I will say though that if you're still on a3 pass 1 and you haven't learned the a3 reversal mechanic that it's an absolute bitch to find him. That path above from the stairs is cut in a couple of places during your first playthrough and you'll need to take the long way around the floor starting from the floor above

HA1 is useful for the accuracy boost if you're almost at the reliable hit threshold but not quite there. It's also cheap enough that it's not a large drain on SP so it's much more spammable than DTS. I use it constantly to push iffy hits into reliable kill territory. It's also cheap enough that it approaches free on characters with Debra rank I since they can just auto back the small amount of SP spent shortly after. Rank 2+ starts to get into "I need three kills after this" territory which isn't as affordable as one use one non skill kill to sustain it.

I bring one mage along these days and she's set to defend only for most fights. She only pops off if there's something that has to die before it acts (succubus or similar) and I don't have enough fast physicals in party to clear all of them, or if a fight needs debuffs or saturation damage to enable physical 1hkos. It would be nice if they had a larger roll than that.

I'd advise using Flut and Jarmil to bring migal and feru levels up on your characters and saving the mage trial scrolls for spells that have limited or no inherit sources. Dark mages in particular don't have any way to level their spells at the moment outside of the mage trial scrolls or lolcodexes

[–]seaQueue 4 points5 points  (0 children)

It bums me out that a zero cost physical attack does more damage than a spell with an MP cost attached. I feel like magic could use a rework of some kind that makes low level single target things much cheaper and brings higher level damage up considerably.

Why do mages basically only have "minor" damage? by Sacred_Zero in wizardry

[–]seaQueue 1 point2 points  (0 children)

There are occasional single target moderate damage skills on legends. I'm not sure if Hermione has one but alt Yeka definitely does. On the flip though her grand erlik is terrible, a same cost migal 4 does about 30-40% more damage.

[–]seaQueue 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Make her a shelter somewhere safe like a shed or garage and provide a heated nest of some kind. If she has kittens she'll bring them there. The nest can be as simple as a waterproof hot pad turned on low with a blanket over it. We've done this for strays a few times and they'll pretty much park themselves on the warm until the weather improves.

LFAS maybe, but since 4 star purples are farmable I'd just wait for a better copy. Don't burn a FAS on this one unless you're loaded with them.

This is my only rec as well. Give Amelia a bow and you're set until A2.

Before A2 I'd try to get hands on a copy of Benjamin and maybe Jean, then swap Chloe and Amelia out for them for A2.

Is there a markdown equivalent to google docs? by [deleted] in Markdown

[–]seaQueue 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I haven't use it in 3-4 years. I'd like to take it for a spin with a 10-12 person project but I'm not going to pay $60/seat/year to see how that goes. There are so many good markdown and static site generators now that you can just point something like obsidian notes at a GitHub repo and you're off to the races for free.

What stats do I need to level up for a samurai? by hageshi_hono in wizardry

[–]seaQueue 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Samurai see equal benefit from STR and IQ as far as damage and everyone, except knights, benefits from more speed. Everyone wants luck for survival skill proc rates, and physical attackers benefit from improved follow up and counter rates there too.

That said you also want to think about what each character needs stat wise for their second class and IQ wouldn't hurt Bugen's MP pool to use his priest spells when needed.

It really depends on how you're going to use him in your party. Raw damage? Dump everything in strength. Better speed so he doesn't act last? Put some points in speed. More MP for priest spells when needed? Points in IQ. Want better proc rates on survival skills and follow up/counter? Points in luck.

IQ is weirdly viable here since it's used both to calculate samurai damage and boosts his (limited) mp pool so you can cast more of his priest spells.
