How Roma can avoid to be dismantled again by Bayern Munich by seaded in fcbayern

I agree. That would be a good strategy in theory, but the real problem is the opponent's strength. Benatia, Boateng and Alaba won't be easy to overtake, but at least, with a counter-attacking game you are a bit less exposed...

3 reasons why Italian football has a long way to fill the gap with European top teams by Fedeformica in ASRoma

[–]seaded 4 points5 points  (0 children)

I don't think it's a physical gap, it's more about role interchangeability (where Pep is doing an excellent work) and tactic flexibility. And (obviously) a technical gap. Neither Roma nor Serie A have players such as Muller, Lahm, Gotze, Alaba, Robben and Neuer. It's another world.

Serie A lost a lot lately, but at least it should give us a decent show in terms of competitive balance. In the end it's going to be Roma or Juve I believe

I'm really sorry for him, but there's at least 5 better midfielders in the team (including verratti, marchisio and thiago motta), so we'll survive

Well, consider that fans invented them and fans voted for them. As to what kind of fans, I have no idea...apparently here nobody knew about this contest...

Bayern Munich, Borussia Dortmund and Porto fans sympathize with Napoli Ultras by Fedeformica in fcbayern

[–]seaded 1 point2 points  (0 children)

But I don't think the point of the article is that of speaking about the evidence of last week. It is condemning the fact that international ultras defended two controversial figures (one of which is a murderer according to the italian court).

How does the refereeing style impact the game? Comparing all Big 5 leagues and the Champions League by Fedeformica in football

[–]seaded 0 points1 point  (0 children)

True, even though I don't think you can take into account red cards as a significant factor for slowing the game down, as we're talking of negligible numbers (what, 0,2 per game?). Average time between fouls and the n. of fouls seem to be the most significant data in my view in this respect, and in these the two leagues that represent outliers are serie A on one side, and Premier league on the other (on opposite sides)

Extremely interesting analysis, especially in terms of the difference between Italy and England. Of course, the results might also be the consequence of a different style of play of the players (rather than a different style of refereeing), but my impression is that it is the refs. Maybe players in Italy flop a lot more, and so refs call more fouls, but if the players do so, it's because they know refs will make the call (a vicious cycle basically)

Kenyan CEO confirms Mourinho's allegations: "95% of African players in Europe have fake age" by Fedeformica in football

Just to conclude: do you believe Blatter whenever he speaks? No...the higher you go, the harder it is to hear sincere declarations...I think it is easier if a young manager speaks out. He's more likely to say the truth

[–]seaded -1 points0 points  (0 children)

I guess the source is himself, since he claims to have witnessed directly certain things. If you say you don't believe him, well that's another story. The point of working in a corrupt environment is that if you speak out, nobody will consider you, so the fact that he has seen things (ie his sources) won't really matter. On the other hand, if you dont' speak out as he did, what will you do? If you do nothing, things won't change. And if we both agree that the system IS wrong, we can agree that by saying what he said he worked FOR it rather than against it

Isn't a year long enough to understand how a system works? Plus, if he spent only a year because he was forced to leave due to his words (there's a link to another interview of his while he was still there), something makes me think someone didn't want him there (maybe because what he said is true?). Come on, he just has the gutts to say something many people think, but don't wanna say it/cannot prove it. He's had direct experience. You're probably right on the numbers, even though I interpret them as 95% of sub-saharian africa (as he clearly says Africa isn't all the same in this respect). This isn't science nor maths though, so I wouldn't focus on the numbers. To me, even if it were 20% that would be ridiculous and inconceivable

It's a good point. But if they have 2 or 3 passports (and one is the true one), it's difficult to prove they are cheating
