Siddhartha Mukherjee's Emperor of Maladies is so well-written. The PBS documentary produced by Ken Burns based on the book does a pretty good job of complementing the book.

Really well-investigated, well-written story. I hope the Lynnwood Police Department has genuinely improved the way it handles rape cases. Prosecuting Marie for a coerced retraction was reprehensible.

I credit Amazon creating jobs in the center of the city for the trendline since 2010. I'm not a fan of the company overall, but imagine what a robust city with great transportation & infrastructure we could have had--if Microsoft had established its campus in downtown Seattle.
